The event, which took place at Fishers High School, included more than 110 registered participants, all from the 2027 class. Fellow writer Jeremy Brooks (PGH Iowa) will be writing a number of follow-up articles from the event as well, but I wanted to focus my time on each team and each young lady who participated in the showcase through a series of articles of my own. Additionally, I would like to thank all of the players, parents, and support staff who made this event a success!

TEAM 1:
#14 –

Columbus North | 2027

, Columbus North H.S. – Ava is an extremely long and wiry combo guard. She is a fluid athlete, and she was very active and always around the action Sunday. She showed a solid handle and could create for herself or others.
#52 – Zakaela Walker, South Bend Washington H.S. – Zakaela is a strongly built perimeter player with broad shoulders and nice length. She is a solid athlete, and she played with a good motor. She was very aggressive attacking the basket.
#54 – Laney Haupert, Northfield H.S. – Laney is a long, wiry, and fairly fluid point guard prospect. She seemed to have a nice feel for the game and played with her head up. As she gets stronger, she will absorb contact and complete plays better.
#55 – Riley Sims, Columbus North H.S. – I really enjoyed watching Riley. She has a strong, athletic frame, and she is a really nice North/South athlete. She showed the ability to play on or off the ball, she handled it well, and she made shots.
#86 – Ava Lilly, Franklin Community H.S. – Ava is a wiry-strong ballplayer, with broad shoulders and some length to her. She played with a very nice motor, tried to be physical inside, plus she showed some skill around the perimeter.
#601 – Elise Williams, Bedford North Lawrence H.S. – Bedford has had a nice run of guards lately, and Elise has gotten the chance to watch and learn from them. She is long, wiry, and a solid athlete. She played mostly off the ball and looks to shoot.
#628 – Briley Layton, Franklin Central H.S. – In what I saw, Briley is a versatile forward who seems like she has played more of an interior position in the past but is transition to a wing role. She has length, wiry strength, plus she’s a solid athlete.
#635 – Isabelle Eke Isabelle Eke 6'0" | SF Bishop Dwenger | 2027 State IN , Bishop Dwenger H.S. – Isabelle really stood out with her play. She has a strong frame, length, plus she was one of the best run-and-jump athletes in the event. As she slows down and lets the game come to her, watch out!
#639 – Reagan Huss Reagan Huss 5'11" | SF Northridge | 2027 IN , Northridge H.S. – Reagan is a long, wiry-strong lefty with solid all-around athleticism. She showed touch from the outside, but she also confidently put it on the floor and attacked the basket. She was very active.
#654 – Modlene Campbell, Daleville H.S. – Modlene is a very strong athlete who was constantly trying to make plays off the bounce. She is another one who has some athletic talent, but now she needs to build some consistency.
.
TEAM 2:
#5 – Sadie Popejoy, Winamac Community H.S. – Sadie was enjoyable to watch, because she played with a lot of energy and always seemed to be around the ball. She has length, she’s a solid athlete, and she has a nice-looking shot.
#40 – Jada Frieson, Warren Central H.S. – Jada is a shorter point guard, but she was another entertaining prospect. She is very strong at her size, she is athletic, and she has a nice feel for the game. She even plays with some craftiness.
#44 – Laila Gates, Avon H.S. – Laila is a strong, almost powerful guard prospect. She is a solid North/South athlete and she played with a motor Sunday, but she’ll need to let the game come to her a little more. She has nice upside, though.
#131 – Karri Gammon, Northeastern H.S. – Karri is a very strong, broad-shouldered, and physical post prospect. She is easily most comfortable around the paint, she showed solid hands, but now she just needs a go-to move or two.
#610 – Grace Lee, Shenandoah H.S. – Grace is a long, wiry, fluid athlete. She also showed some bounce to her, and she played with an energetic motor. She flashed a lot of athletic potential and some skill, and she should continue to improve.
#616 – Grace Fischer, Waldron H.S. – This Grace is a part of what’s shaping up to be a nice Freshman class for Waldron. She has extreme length, she’s a solid athlete with some bounce, and she showed some touch from the perimeter.
#622 – Izzy Stillabower, Franklin Community H.S. – Izzy is smaller right now at about 5-4, but she is very long for her height, she’s active and involved, and she has noticeable skill to play either guard position. I like her upside as she grows.
#631 – Jordyn Poelhuis, Castle H.S. – Jordyn is one of the rare kids in 2027 I have seen for the last two Summers. She is a strong, physical, lefty wing, and Sunday, she shot it very well from the perimeter. She could play early for Castle.
#632 – Ashlee Baker Ashlee Baker 5'9" | SG Franklin Central | 2027 State IN , Franklin Central H.S. – Ashlee is a strong guard who had a nice Spring & Summer grassroots season. She has a good handle, a soft touch from outside, and a natural feel for the game. She was consistent each game Sunday.
#657 – Brynlie Smith, Jac-Cen-Del H.S. – JCD always seems to have these crafty, hard-working, 6-foot kids on their roster, and Brynlie looks to be the next one. She has nice length and solid athleticism but will just need to keep getting stronger.
