enters the summer as one of the more dependable backcourt players in this range of the rankings. The Columbus North combo guard possesses the versatility that coaches love, with the ability to handle point guard duties while also providing scoring from the perimeter.
Wilson’s strength lies in her ability to impact multiple areas of the game. She can facilitate offense, push the pace in transition, and create opportunities for teammates while remaining a scoring threat herself. Her understanding of spacing and game situations allows her to make smart decisions with the basketball.
As Columbus North begins summer competition, Wilson is expected to play a major role in the team’s backcourt. Her ability to contribute on both ends of the floor gives the Bull Dogs a reliable playmaker who can help stabilize the offense against quality competition.

There’s just something about Ava’s game that I think will really draw her elite small college attention this Spring & Summer. She is a long, wiry, smooth shooter with some range as well. Despite that being what she’s probably most known for, I have also seen her play a more traditional point guard role at times and think that’s a very underrated part of her game. I think all in all, she could be more of a point guard long-term, with the ability to also knock down shots consistently from outside. Again, look for her recruiting to pick up some significant momentum this Spring.

I was able to catch Ava one last time playing for a different team at the end of July, and she was really good in the couple of games I saw. She is yet another long, wiry, smooth, and fluid guard who does a little of everything well. She shot it well from the perimeter, and with a little range, but she was also better in transition with the ball in her hands than I recall from past viewings. North has some good guards in their backcourt right now, but I think her combination of talent, skill, and measurables should earn her a big role.

Due to an injury and low roster numbers, Ava is filling in for the Indiana Basketball Club S40 team in 16U this weekend. In the two halves I’ve seen of them the last couple of days, she has done so smoothly and is playing very well. She has tremendous length at her height, she is a fluid athlete, but she also possesses some speed. She can bury shots when she has her feet set, plus she can handle the ball, push it in transition, initiate the offense, and even create off the dribble for herself or teammates. She has also defended with effort.
