As of right now, on my end it’s looking like we are adding over 150+ players and moving around much more in general. With that being said, here are 5 players that will “mix up” the rankings next month. Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!
Addison Hatcliff Addison Hatcliff 5’7″ | CG Beatrice | 2024 State NE is going to be playing basketball at Doane University to start off her college basketball career, after this winter high school season. Hatcliff is a shooting guard in the purest of forms. She spots up on the perimeter, always ready to catch and shoot each play. While doing this, her balance is always centered and her follow through is always the same. When Hatcliff isn’t shooting the ball, she is finding open teammates around her on the offensive side of the floor, while also being a defensive stopper on the ball a majority of the time. She possesses active hands that lead to a lot of turnovers and potential buckets for her perspective team in the open court. This winter I’m excited to come out and see Hatcliff play at Beatrice high school. A team that with the right guidance, could put together a really special season overall.
Bailee Durant
Bailee Durant
Bailee Durant is one of the best kept secrets as it pertains to fantastic basketball players in the state of Nebraska. Durant has size, skill, and is very athletically gifted. She moves effortlessly down the court, while being able to produce in several ways for her team. She can score from all three levels, can defend 1-5 in high school currently, can rebound against anyone that steps in her way, and is a consistent communicator with those around her. All impressive things to note as Durant is only a 2026 player with a bright future ahead of her on the court. After having such an impressive freshman year, I’ll be curious to see if Durant can take her game to the next level. If she can continue to keep up how she is currently playing and expand on that, watch out everyone. We could be talking about a high-end Division-2 talent at the end of the day, if not even higher.
A player that I mentioned at the start of July was Kylee Paben Kylee Paben 6’1″ | SF Millard West | 2026 State NE . Paben is a 6 foot power forward, who understands her size and power on the court. She does a good job of positioning herself early in possessions so that she can score easy buckets or have an distinct advantage over her opponents. This AAU season Paben displayed that she is ready to step up this winter in a big way. She is a player that can impact a game in several different ways. If teams don’t game plan for her, in the end, it could be a really long day for them. Her balance, coordination, and touch in the paint is impressive and when she builds on that, she is going to be a handful to guard. This September when the new Player Rankings drop for the state of Nebraska, keep an eye out as to where Paben is placed. I think it may shock some people.
Addison Bratt
Addison Bratt
The amount of promising young talent in the state of Nebraska when it comes to high school girls basketball is unreal. The 2026-2028 class all display size, skill, and smarts when competing with their perspective teams. One of those players that I am talking about is Addison Bratt. Bratt is an individual that stands at around 5’11, with superior skill on the floor compared to most around her. Her size is what “stands” out but her skill is what is eye-opening to a recruiter. She understands the strategic part of the game while being able to do almost everything for her team out there. She can handle and bring up the ball against pressure a majority of the time, she can score at all three levels, and she can defend almost any other player. I’m curious how Bratt’s game will translate to the high school level but with the right development over the next few season, we are talking about another player with a high ceiling as it pertains to college basketball one day.
Callie Ott Callie Ott 5’10” | SG Millard West | 2024 State NE isn’t committed to play college basketball just yet but it’s coming. Ott, a dominate power forward on the court, has brought in some major college interest this AAU season. Ott possesses a fundamental game. She doesn’t do too much but still produces in whatever she is doing. She does a good job of understanding her body and how to use it against smaller/weaker opponents in the lane, on a consistent basis. In each contest that I have seen Ott compete in, she displays a high motor that doesn’t quit, no matter the situation. She is the type of player that will do the hard/dirty work in the paint and doesn’t want to be thanked afterwards, as long as it helped her team in some aspect. I’m not sure where Ott will play college ball but wherever it is, she is going to make an instant impact. She is just too gifted not to.
