Callie Ott Callie Ott 5'10" | SG Millard West | 2024 State NE is another collegiate talent on the Millard West High School team that is going to continue to produce this season, before she heads off to continue on her basketball journey. Ott has size, smarts, and athleticism. She can produce on or off of the ball and is very talented at making herself available. One of the best abilities a player can have, is availability. If you can’t get yourself or others open on a consistent basis, it’s going to be problem later down the road and Ott does a great job of making that happen. She is always flashing, cutting, or moving to open space on the floor so that she can be available to the other teammates around her. Not to mention, it can be hard to stand-out when you have other high ranking players on your roster but Ott does a great job of sticking out in her own ways. Throughout the duration of a contest against Millard West, you can tell that Ott is on the floor. That she is someone you have to pay attention to or else it could be a career night for herself. I’m excited to see how far this group can go this winter. They have all the personal and coaching, they just need to go out and turn it into a reality now.

There isn’t enough good things that I could say about Callie Ott Callie Ott 5'10" | SG Millard West | 2024 State NE on the basketball court. Ott is a 5’11/6’0 Small Forward, that is versatile. She can move around the court and play several positions, all while being successful at each one. Offensively, she can handle with either hand and attack her opponents going either way at the basket. She understands her mismatches and does a good job of exploiting them whenever the opportunity presents itself. Defensively, she is a hustle player that will always give you 100% effort. Someone that can play all over the court while producing with tips/deflections on a regular basis. After Ott’s high school career, she is committed to play at the next level and if you see her play for just five minutes, you can see why. A player with this type of energy, mixed with her skill and size, is sure to have some great moments on the college floor in the near future.

Callie Ott Callie Ott 5'10" | SG Millard West | 2024 State NE isn’t committed to play college basketball just yet but it’s coming. Ott, a dominate power forward on the court, has brought in some major college interest this AAU season. Ott possesses a fundamental game. She doesn’t do too much but still produces in whatever she is doing. She does a good job of understanding her body and how to use it against smaller/weaker opponents in the lane, on a consistent basis. In each contest that I have seen Ott compete in, she displays a high motor that doesn’t quit, no matter the situation. She is the type of player that will do the hard/dirty work in the paint and doesn’t want to be thanked afterwards, as long as it helped her team in some aspect. I’m not sure where Ott will play college ball but wherever it is, she is going to make an instant impact. She is just too gifted not to.

https://x.com/ott_calliernOtt is one the more underappreciated talents on her AAU and High School teams. Ott has above average ball handling and is a perimeter attacker. She is aggressive with the ball in her hands and engages in the contact with strong finishes. Her length and physicality can be tough to match at the shooting guard position and she uses that to her advantage, even getting position and posting in the paint. Ott is a scrappy and will chase down any loose ball in her vicinity. This fall, on a team with a solid inside post player and solid perimeter shooters, Ott could be the key with her ability to attack the rim to create opportunities. The Mustang’s Stable is loaded with talent.
