Beatrice High School has been one of the best team in their perspective class this season so far and I hope they can ride that momentum coming out of break. A big reason for their success is Guard and college commit, Addison Hatcliff Addison Hatcliff 5'7" | CG Beatrice | 2024 State NE . Hatcliff is a diverse guard that can play either the point guard or shooting guard spot for her teams. All things considering, she isn’t the tallest on the floor and has a smooth ability to create off of the dribble so I would think in college that she will just compete at the 1 spot but we will have to wait and see. As for this season, Hatcliff’s team is 6-1 with an important win coming against Malcolm High School, a team that features the best player at the 2026 grade-level in the state in Halle Dolliver Halle Dolliver 5'10" | CG/SF Malcolm | 2026 State NE . When the State conversation comes up again in a month or so, Beatrice will be in it. At this rate, they are going to be a top team in their Class all year long and deserving so.

Addison Hatcliff Addison Hatcliff 5'7" | CG Beatrice | 2024 State NE is going to be playing basketball at Doane University to start off her college basketball career, after this winter high school season. Hatcliff is a shooting guard in the purest of forms. She spots up on the perimeter, always ready to catch and shoot each play. While doing this, her balance is always centered and her follow through is always the same. When Hatcliff isn’t shooting the ball, she is finding open teammates around her on the offensive side of the floor, while also being a defensive stopper on the ball a majority of the time. She possesses active hands that lead to a lot of turnovers and potential buckets for her perspective team in the open court. This winter I’m excited to come out and see Hatcliff play at Beatrice high school. A team that with the right guidance, could put together a really special season overall.

Hatcliff is a sniper from distance and can be a knockdown coming off a screen or spotting up. As mentioned, she plays above her size and can hustle for rebounds or finish at the rim. Hatcliff should be a standout for the Orange(wo)men this year.
