Ameya Brown had a nice take coast to coast getting by her opponents and pulling up for the jumper in transition. She stripped the ball from her opponents and took it all the way to the other end of the court. She had some nice handles creating space for herself to put up her shot. Her drives to the basket were very elusive keeping her eye on the prize.
Highlights
Autumn Washington was tough on all levels getting inside for the offensive rebound and being ready to battle contact for some points. She knows how to flash in the paint making herself a big target for the entry pass. She is smooth with her post moves to score or pull up jumper around the perimeter.
Highlights
Charlotte Tune had a nice take to the basket attacking the paint and putting up a floater shooting up and over her competition. She showed off her jab step getting her defender off balance as she pulled up for her jumper. Her defense was fun to watch, too, grabbing the steal and pushing it up the court.
My’Asia Young was doing it all for her team grabbing rebounds, attacking the basket, and scoring through contact for some old fashioned three point plays. She was using her length to prevent her opponents from getting around her on defense. She was always aware of the best play to make on the court even finding a way to get the pass to herself off an in bounds play and attacking the basket on a fast break scoring through contact.
Kelsey Rhyne is one of the most confident shooters in the gym and for good reason. She can drain it from anywhere around the perimeter, and she has a nice take on both sides of the court, especially the left side. She did a nice job penetrating the defense and getting the pass to her teammates cutting to the hoop. She even got inside to get rebounds on both ends.
Highlights
Mackenzie Ortscheid was showing her versatility attacking the basket and making the dish to her teammates. She also showed off her ability to guard a range of players from post players inside to guards around the perimeter. She followed shots on offense getting the rebound and putting up the shot even battling through contact when she needed to. She had a nice jab step creating space and hitting the long jumper for some more points.
