Oklahoma is brimming with talent and it seems like college coaches are finally starting to figure it out. Every day on social media I see more and more offers coming in for our players and it makes me so happy to see our athletes finally getting the recognition that they deserve. Without further ado, here are today’s social media evaluations!
As I start to learn more and more about this year’s freshman class here in Oklahoma, I get even more excited. There are some big-time prospects coming and we’re gonna get to watch them for a long time before they head off to their college homes! Kourtney has already picked up a D-I offer from Wichita State and it is really no surprise when you see video of her play. She is fluid with the handles, the ball is an extension of herself, and she does a tremendous job weaving her way through traffic. Scoring seems to be second-nature for Wright. Her great size as a guard is obvious as she uses her body to shield the ball from defenders and finish strong at the rim. She can stroke it from deep, too. I look forward to seeing Kourtney on the court this season to get a better look at every facet of her game.

Another freshman to get super excited about is Kashae Brown. She has the size of a post and the handles of a point guard, but where she really makes her money is in her slashing ability. She gets downhill in a hurry and has so many moves to throw any defender off balance that she is almost unstoppable when she wants a bucket. A workout warrior, Kashae has a lot of video in the gym where she looks to be constantly honing her craft. Fort Gibson (and the Swift grassroots program) have developed some outstanding players who share Kashae’s combination of size, skill, and multi-position diversity and I have no doubt that the sky is the limit for this young athlete. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for Kashae Brown!
Cambri is heading into her senior season and, as far as I know, is still uncommitted. That is definitely not for lack of offers, though. They are beginning to roll in for Cambri at a rate of one or two a week at this point and it’s for good reason. When I go see a game and she’s on the roster of one of the teams, I know exactly what it is that I’m going to see. She’s going to make life miserable on the opposing point guard. There is going to be no walking the ball up the court casually if Cambri is defending you. Her team is also going to get out and run thanks in large part to her stellar vision and ability to send long passes accurately to any player at any time. She can score it plenty of ways, but I think what most coaches who offer her like is the fact that she does every little thing that helps a team win.

I’m not sure what Jazzlin is going to college for, but if she keeps her grades up, she will be going to college. She is the fastest 200m runner in the state, which she could probably do in college. She could also use that speed, as she does during the fall and winter, on the basketball court. That’s not to say she’s a player who just all out sprints, uncontrolled, up and down the court. No, far from it. She has tremendous handles and for someone with great size, she is light on her feet and very intentional in her movement. She runs the floor well and can shoot the lights out from all levels. Brown is a big-time prospect and I would dare say that having recently picked up her second offer for a 2025 is not enough. College coaches are going to regret missing out on Jazzlin.

Sometimes kids don’t put their offers on their social media and that’s perfectly fine. But, sometimes I’m left to wonder if it means that the athlete doesn’t have any offers yet. If that’s the case for Shelbie, there is something wrong. She is a strong, tough player who racks up the blocks, steals, and rebounds. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, she is a big who can step out and hit from three, also. A double-double machine, it looks from Shelbie’s video that she also has some of her best games against her team’s best opponents. We all know the clutch gene is pretty important, as well. It would be a shame for a player this good to not find a college home before her senior season comes to an end.
