In my third and final review of the NBN Super 60 Showcase, I'll be recognizing the 2024 and 2025 student/athletes that got my attention during the event;

[player_tooltip player_id='465509' first='Kate' last='Wood']- 5'9" SG, 2025 Perryville H.S.-Kate has been on my radar for quite a while. She's smart, she's strong, and she can score. She's versatile and can play all five positions. Her footwork is excellent and she can defend. She gets to the glass as well as anyone I've seen. Look for Kate to have a great junior season.

[player_tooltip player_id='870527' first='Landrey' last='Richardson'] -6'0" P/F, 2024 Cossatot River H.S.-Landrey is a stretch big. She has the size to either post up or pull her defender out to open up the middle. She can run the floor and is a rim protector in the paint.

[player_tooltip player_id='465512' first='Jade' last='Steele']- 5'6" PG/SG, 2025 Greenbrier H.S.-The first of a pair of bookend guards that are very hard to defend. Jade is versatile and can drive to the basket or shoot the three-ball. She has a high basketball IQ and defensively locks in on her opponent.

[player_tooltip player_id='1195990' first='Destry' last='Steele']- 5'6" PG/SG, 2025 Greenbrier H.S.-Destry is the second bookend guard that will create enormous problems for high school opponents. Along with teammate Jade, Destry can defend, run the floor, and score. She can shoot the three as well and is as quick as a cat.

[player_tooltip player_id='875466' first='Shalyn' last='Lyle']- 5'7" SG, 2025 Nashville H.S.-This is another set of bookend guards that will create havoc for all defenders. Shaylyn is an excellent defender and she can score. She's a leader and will help carry the Scappers to another deep playoff run this coming season.

[player_tooltip player_id='875473' first='Jessie' last='Lyle']- 5'7" SG, 2025 Nashville H.S.- Number two in the Nashville H.S. bookend dilemma for opponents. Jessie is a carbon copy of her sister Shalyn. She is an excellent defender and is just as difficult to guard. She's a scorer and will get to the glass and attack the rim.

Abby Daughtery- 5'10" SG, 2025 Bald Knob H.S.-Clearly a mismatch on the court. Her skill set allows her to face the basket or post up. She's active and runs the floor well. She's long and can play the stretch big role for her team.

[player_tooltip player_id='386716' first='Cammi' last='Christie']- 5'6" PG/SG, 2024 Perryville H.S.-Another Perryville H.S. guard that has been on my radar, Cammie is a floor leader who runs the offense. She has a knack for finding the open player. Her touch-to-turnover ratio is very low. You want the ball in her hands. She is a difference-maker and will be the key ingredient to a deep post-season run for the Mustangs.

All of these upperclassmen will share a common role of leadership for their respective schools. I'm looking forward to tracking these young athletes as they compete this coming school season.

Bobby Brown
