Who will else step up this season? Wynn brings some versatility at the forward position while Earl can play all 3 perimeter positions at times. Wynn averaged 8 ppg last season while Earl chipped in at 5.6 ppg as a 8th grader. New Head Coach Nicole Hood took over the reins for the Lady Rams. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='268140' first='Ahri' last='Scott'] </strong>and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='408418' first='Kiki' last='Gregory']</strong> are two senior leaders on this Lady Rams squad. Scott a combo guard seems to do most of her damage behind the three- point line. Ahri has a quick trigger from downtown and a nice shot release. Gregory is quick end to end with the ball in her hands and a pesky defender. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:image {"id":674669,"sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} --> <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepgirlshoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2023/06/28F85DB9-213A-455D-BF06-533A31481C43.jpeg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-674669" /></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='195514' first='Monasia' last='Clinkscales']</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='324541' first='Khalia' last='Hartwell']</strong> transferred in this off season from crosstown rival T.L. Hanna HS. Clinkscales and Hartwell both saw good minutes last season for the Lady Yellow Jackets. Clinkscales will play on the ball while Hartwell will protect the middle with her size. Hartwell 6'5 is an ideal rim protector and is just a freshman this season. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='398712' first='Makhyia' last='Paul']</strong> could be the glue to this Lady Rams roster. McGowens enters her senior season with 1,623 career points while averaging 18.6 ppg last season. Fellow seniors <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='175339' first='Olivia' last='Randolph']</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='268139' first='Deyana' last='Hayes']</strong> anchor the front line for the Lady Hurricanes (26-6) who lost to Camden HS in the Class 3A State Championship Game a season ago 61-45.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:image {"id":552403,"sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} --> <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepgirlshoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2022/11/IMG_1348-scaled-crop-1481x973-1669008959.jpg?w=800" alt="" class="wp-image-552403" /></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p> Randolph has played in 3 state championship games in a row including two at Westside HS. Olivia recently picked up some offers from UMBC, Claflin University (SC) and Lenor-Rhyne (NC). She really brings good versatility to the floor and the ability to defend in the paint. Hayes is kind of the forgotten person on this team at times. Deyana plays her best basketball around the cup. Hayes averaged 7.5 ppg and 5.8 rebounds a season ago. Look for <strong>Reagan Powell </strong>and<strong> [player_tooltip player_id='628577' first='Ava' last='O'Shields']</strong> to contribute more this season to this Lady Hurricanes team. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
