One would expect a prospect as highly touted as Hartwell to continue to receive Division I looks. Her two latest offers come from schools that have earned plenty of respect in the NCAA women’s basketball realm. One of those came from Rutgers and the other came from Iowa. Hartwell’s presence is putting her 4A Westside team on the national stage – the Rams recently received an invite to the She Got Game Classic in early December in Dallas. After running on the Under Armour circuit with FBC United We Trust, Hartwell looks ahead to 2025-26 with a Rams team that will be a 4A state favorite among many a pundit. She averaged a double-double of 15.2 points and 10.5 rebounds plus 2.5 steals last season for Westside.

One of the signature frontcourt forces in the state has been swimming in a sea of Division I offers. Her latest one came from a school right by the sea as she was offered by Miami and its head coach Tricia Cullop. Hartwell has established a national profile and the 15.2 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.5 blocks she averaged last season for a Westside team that were 4A state championship participants last season. A state championship would be an excellent way to bolster one’s resume and, thanks in large part to Hartwell, this season’s version of the Rams may very well do just that in the 4A realm.

Another of the premier frontcourt forces in the Palmetto State, the Division I offers are continuing to pour in Hartwell’s way. The latest of said offers was courtesy of UCF and its coach Walter Pitts. Hartwell first played at the varsity level as an eighth grader and one can see how she has blossomed into a top-tier prospect. She played in 26 games last season for 4A Westside and averaged a double-double of 15.2 points and 10.5 rebounds in addition to 2.5 blocks per contest. Last season’s Rams team advanced to the 4A state championship game and her team will be a favorite among many to return to that point given the successful offseason Westside experienced.

It has been a while since we have had an update on one of the Palmetto State’s highest profile prospects, but Hartwell provided us with one when she announced she received an offer from Notre Dame. Getting recruited by coach Nielle Ivey of the Fighting Irish means Hartwell is doing something right on that 94 by 50 feet of hardwood. At 6-foot-5, she can fill the need of any team looking to bolster its paint presence on both offense and defense. Hartwell averaged a double-double as a sophomore with 15.2 points and 10.5 rebounds a game plus 2.5 blocks a contest for a Westside team that qualified for last year’s 4A state championship game.

Hartwell has had herself a busy 2025 offseason as evidenced by her getting an invite to the USA Basketball 16U trials. A 2024-25 that saw Hartwell’s Westside team advance to the 4A championship game has been followed by her garnering a litany of Division I interest. Louisville and Purdue have been among the schools that have offered the 6-foot-5 standout for the Rams. The FBC United product put up career numbers in 2024-25, averaging a double-double of 15.2 points and 10.5 rebounds plus 2.5 blocks per contest last season and it is a safe assumption that she will only be even more dangerous in her junior and senior seasons.

Westside backers had to feel confident going into its 4A state matchup with North Augusta – a team the Rams have scored a few notable playoff victories against in years past. This year’s Yellow Jackets rendition had other ideas – but this year’s Yellow Jackets rendition had problems with the Rams’ star sophomore big. Hartwell concluded her 2024-25 season with a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds as well as three blocks. She made 10 of her 14 tries from the field. Hartwell is finishing her sophomore campaign holding a laundry list of Division I offers and one can expect for that continue to be the case as her game evolves.
