Rachael Chilicki Rachael Chilicki 6'3" | C Mukwonago | 2026 State WI
Once I first saw Chilicki in April, it was clear that she was among the top group of prospects in her class. Her 6-3 size and physicality make her one of the most intriguing kids in the state, but she has the skill to go along with it. She works hard to get a solid post position early and can score easy baskets because of the work early in possession. Most kids can’t finish as well with both hands as Chilicki can, and that’s a significant reason why she sticks out.
Vanessa Johnson Vanessa Johnson 5'7" | PG Pewaukee | 2026 State WI
Giselle Janowski Giselle Janowski 5'9" | SG Pewaukee | 2026 State WI and Vanessa Johnson Vanessa Johnson 5'7" | PG Pewaukee | 2026 State WI are two of the best perimeter defenders in Wisconsin, and they solidified that reputation early in their first high school seasons. Johnson has an uncanny ability to make plays on the ball defensively and reads the game well. No matter where I’ve seen her, she’s been a playmaker on the defensive end, and even though she started off her high school career offensively shaky, she’s only improved on that end of the floor.
Kylie Butler Kylie Butler 5'7" | CG Argyle | 2026 State WI
I didn’t see Butler until July, but I loved watching her play. Butler doesn’t overwhelm defenders with athleticism. It’s about her footwork and passing. She’s not afraid to throw 60-foot outlet passes to teammates leaking out after offensive rebounds and willing to try to fit those passes into small windows. I also loved how well she used her pivot to create opportunities for herself, even after losing her dribble.
Izabel Durst Izabel Durst 5'7" | PG Barneveld | 2026 State WI
Durst is another kid I didn’t see until Nike Nationals in Chicago, so it took me a while. Her summer wasn’t in a consistent environment after starting summer with almost a completely different group of girls than she finished, but she excelled on the biggest stage. She’s got a quicker first step than I ever expected and caught a few defenders off balance with a quick crossover. Her overall game is solid, and I don’t see how she won’t be a dominant force at Barneveld, especially in small-school basketball.
Claudia Asman Claudia Asman 6'0" | PF Kimberly | 2026 State WI
Asman is a name that could see a role on an uber-talented Kimberly team, but the fact that I don’t know if she will get a consistent rotational spot should tell you how talented that group is. However, Asman has the skill and physical tools to provide something different for the Papermakers. She has size, shoots the ball well from the perimeter, can run the floor, and has a clear desire to improve. If she does earn a role this season, she can provide valuable minutes against some bigger bodies in the FVA.
