Jahzara is at the top of the Class of 2026 6 footers. First and foremost, she is an absolute game wrecker on D. She attacks shots on the interior and either gets a hand on them or does a great job altering them. She comfortably switches out to smaller opponents in pick and roll defense and her quick feet and long arms create a ton of trouble for opposing guards. Offensively she is not a traditional back to the basket big but if you put Jahzara on the block she can score easily with good footwork and a soft turnaround jumper. She is at her best attacking the basket and getting out in transition. When she develops a consistent 3-point shot to go with her attacking offense she will be even more dangerous. A standout for Philly Rise and with 342 points as a freshman at Gloucester Catholic, this double double machine is only getting better.
On a guard focused Shoreshots 2026 squad, Sophie finds ways to make her presence known. She has exceptional footwork and patience as an offensive presence when she gets the ball on the block and a nice touch on her turnaround jumper. She is comfortable stepping outside and putting the ball on the floor to get to the rim and she is getting more comfortable shooting with range. Sophie is very athletic and whether she is blocking shots on D or grabbing defensive rebounds, she is often one of the first players filling a lane and beating defenders up the court for an easy bucket. She attacks the offensive glass and powers back up. Appearing in 26 games and scoring over 100 points as a freshman for an outstanding Red Bank Catholic squad it shouldn’t be long before she’s putting up a nightly double double.
Length length and more length. Taylor uses her length and physical presence inside as much as any big in the Class of 2026. She alters and blocks a ton of shots on post up D or in help on dribble drives. She has the strength to hold a box out, attack the rebound and outlet to initiate the fast break for her Jersey Gemz EYBL team. Offensively she does a good job flashing high and working as a distributor from the high post. When she gets into the low block, she has quick moves to get the ball up on the square. As she continues to grow into her size she will start converting at a higher rate. With big sister Ashley graduated and playing for Bucknell, Taylor should step in and be the inside presence for another loaded St. John Vianney squad where she appeared in 20 games as a freshman.
After averaging a double double for a solid Group 2 Roselle team as a freshman, Briana had a good summer playing up for the NJ Raptors 2025 E40 team. She has good hands and the ability to finish inside with her right or her left. She gets to her spots and doesn’t try to do too much. She has her way with smaller opponents as she plays to her size on the offensive end. If she adds a consistent 15-18 footer to go with her inside game, her offense will be tough to stop. She rebounds well and has a strong frame to finish through contact. I’d like to see Briana play with a more consistent motor at both ends and when she starts to do that the sky will be the limit as she prepares for her sophomore season.
