The guards at the the event were on the attack, the shooting guards were shooting the daylights out of the ball, the small forwards were handling business on the wings, and the power forwards were mixing it up in the paint and even stepoping out on the perimeter. In this article we hilight some of the top power forwards at the Top 250 Expo. Collectively, they had a great showing at the event.
Leandrea McCloud Leandrea McCloud 6’2″ | PF Ed White | 2025 State FL was a force at the Top 250 Expo as she performed very well. McCloud is an elite player and it showed on the courts at the Expo. Offensively, she has a knack for scoring the basketball. McCloud looked like she was open all day long down in the paint. She moves great without the ball in her hands, she has a high basketball IQ, and she possesses great instincts on the court. She has exceptional timing on when to cut and and give the passer an open target. McCloud showed a lot of versatility with her ball handling abilities and her ability to pull up for the baseline jumper. That’s just one side of the ball. Defensively, McCloud was versatile and impressive. She has the ability to defend in space and also in the paint. Her shot blocking ability is elite. At the Expo, she blocked several shots in the paint and changed a lot of other shots. McCloud was also elite in the rebounding department. She stood out and performed like the elite player she is.
Mia Chandler Mia Chandler 6’0″ | PF Mandarin | 2026 State FL played very well at the Expo and opened a lot of eyes. Chandler was a tough challenge in the paint for defenders. She has an explosive move to the basket and can leave defenders flat footed. She did a great job of scoring in the paint once she gained an advantage on the defender. Chandler played very well in transition, leading the break at times and also filling the wings. Her straightline speed was as fast as the guards on the floor. Defensively, Chandler was solid and versatile. She defended in the paint and blocked numerous shots from the helpside. She also played on the wings and stopped defenders from penetrating with great foot speed and lateral movement. I was sitting with a college basketball coach who complimented the young Chandler. He stated that Chandler is a great athlete and a very good young player. He agreed that she is going to be a problem as she continues to develop and further learns the game.
Liliana Rosario Liliana Rosario 6’0″ | PF Westminster Academy | 2026 State FL played very well and is on the projectory to be a dominant player in the paint as her game continues to develop. Rosario gets great position and knows how to seal off defenders in the paint. Once she receives the pass, she knows how to score the ball. She displayed some nice footwork in the paint, including some nice up and under moves. Rosario drew a lot of praise from some coaches there. She is another good player whose future is extremely bright.
Maleeya Brammer Maleeya Brammer 6’1″ | PF Gulf Breeze | 2026 State FL was a workhorse in the paint at the Top Expo. She held it down defensively with active hands and an ability to block shots. Brammer was also a force in the rebound department. On the defensive board, when she blocked a defender out, the rebound was hers. Brammer was in double digit in rebounds in several games. On the offensive end, she did a good job of sealing the defender and passing to open players out of the post. She and Zion McRae Zion McRae 5’4″ | SG The Villages | 2025 State FL were impressive in the pick and role game. Brammer is the type of player who can affect the outcome of a game without scoring a single point. Her “lunch pail” style of play was refreshing, inspiring, and very impressive.
