's summer made it clear that her stock was on the rise. Now, the fans have officially given their stamp of approval.
The FGB /Bishop Moore guard received 22.6% of the fan vote to be named the Biggest Stock Riser of the Summer, capping a summer in which Peterson emerged as one of the most impactful guards on the GUAA circuit with FGB . She averaged 14.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game while consistently putting pressure on defenses with her quickness and making electric plays with the ball in her hands.
That production translated into a major recruiting jump since April. Jaiden added offers from Delaware, UNC Greensboro, Howard, Campbell, and Coastal Carolina over the summer to give her five new Division I opportunities, plenty of additional interest from other schools, and putting her firmly on the recruiting radar heading into the school year.
For Peterson, the summer was about more than adding offers. Her play showed the continued growth of a guard who can create off the bounce, play with pace, and make an impact on both ends of the floor.
Now, the focus shifts back to Bishop Moore. Jaiden enters the school year with plenty of momentum, and I expect her to carry that confidence into what could be a big season for the Hornets. Bishop Moore has the pieces to make another serious run, and Peterson figures to be a major part of that equation.
After making one of the biggest jumps of any player this summer, the next step will be seeing what Peterson can do with that momentum once the high school season begins!
