PGH New Jersey Recruiting Update: 9/14

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's time for the latest recruiting update from Prep Girls Hoops New Jersey regarding high school girls basketball and over the last week or two, things have certainly heated up. Her sophomore season with Blair is one to watch for as the Bucs are expected to play a tough schedule full of top talent.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='488732' first='Shayne' last='Eldridge'] - Wall (2024) commits to Caldwell</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We haven't talked much about the senior from Wall, but what a better time to get her into the recruiting conversation as Eldridge announced her verbal commitment to Caldwell University on Wednesday.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:image {"id":763771,"sizeSlug":"full","linkDestination":"none"} --> <figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img src="https://prepgirlshoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2023/09/Screenshot-2023-09-14-at-8.55.58-PM.png" alt="" class="wp-image-763771" /></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Simply put, wherever she's played, she's made an impact in a big way, and that's been the case over her high school career at Wall as well as playing for [program_tooltip program_id='714654' first='NJ' last='Shoreshots']. She's expected to reach the 1000 point mark in her career as a senior as well as continue to build up several career statlines of her own, but Eldridge is a gamer, a playmaker and a leader among women.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='489441' first='Harper' last='Felch'] - Morris Tech (2024) offered by Rochester</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Felch made a few unofficial visits to some schools in August, one of them being the University of Rochester, and after an official visit recently, the Yellow Jackets offered the Morris Tech senior on Tuesday.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:image {"id":763773,"sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} --> <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepgirlshoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2023/09/F53UhxzXsAAi_1u.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-763773" /></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>She's coming off easily her best high school season to date and that's probably underselling it, averaging 17.4 PPG in 25 games as well as nearly five steals a game. During AAU ball this spring/summer for Rise as One, she's really developed her game as a combo guard, featuring more from the outside while also being a threat in the interior. A fantastic player overall and someone we're excited to watch this winter.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='325204' first='Amanda' last='Baylock'] - Scotch Plains-Fanwood (2024) offered by TCNJ</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The last player we'll talk about in this article is someone who we've featured a few times before, Baylock, the senior out of Scotch Plains-Fanwood who just can't seem to stop getting college offers. Scoring over 21 points a game and knocking down nearly 2.5 three-pointers a game was something to behold, and she's still got one season left to make even more history.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
