Now starts the regional rankings for Prep Girls Hoops New Jersey’s updated Class of 2025 rankings, and for that, we begin in the southern most part of the state. Here are updated top five juniors from South Jersey.
No. 1: Macie McCracken Macie McCracken 5'8" | CG Wildwood | 2025 State NJ – CG, Wildwood (No. 12 overall)
Our first player to talk about in this article is one that we’ve talked about at length in previous articles, and for good reason. McCracken comes in as the No. 1 ranked player from South Jersey in the 2025 class, the lone player to be ranked inside the top-15 as well. She’s a prolific shooter, someone who can easily average 4-5 made three-pointers a night, a crazy stat for high school, and easily make a number of incredible plays on both sides of the ball to keep her team in games. She’s a spectacular prospect to watch, hands down.
No. 2: Reese Downey Reese Downey 5'7" | PG Absegami | 2025 State NJ – PG, Absegami (No. 25 overall)
Downey is the second and final player from South Jersey to crack the top 25 of this rankings update, but make no mistakes about where she currently is ranked. She is one of the most talented ball-handlers we’ve ever seen, one of the smoothest point guards around, and a feel for the game most wish they had. Let’s not leave out her incredible passing skills, a facilitator with the best of them, and a defensive skillset that rivals just about any guard in New Jersey.
No. 3: Qui-Mia Wilkins Qui-Mia Wilkins 5'7" | SF Pemberton | 2025 State NJ – SF, Pemberton (No. 36 overall)
Wilkins is an interesting player on this list only because an injury sidelined her for the remainder of her sophomore season with Pemberton, playing in just six games up through early January. She easily impressed offensively, including a 35-point double-double performance, but her success on the court left a lot to be desired. We’re curious to see how much more she can do against stronger opposition and playing at that level for an entire season as well.
No. 4: Adelina Wilks Adelina Wilks 5'6" | PG Bridgeton | 2025 State NJ – PG, Bridgeton (No. 42 overall)
She’s a multi-sport star, a great soccer player and track and field athlete, so it’s really tough to say which sport of hers is the best. We can confidently say basketball has a strong case to be No. 1 following an impressive sophomore campaign that saw her average over 16 points a game and nearly five steals a game. Wilks is small in stature, but that doesn’t quite replicate her presence on the court, one that’s larger than life and has certainly helped Bridgeton compete in the Cape-Atlantic League.
No. 5: Madison Eli Madison Eli SF Deptford | 2025 NJ – SF, Deptford (No. 49 overall)
Our last player, the No. 5 player in South Jersey and final SJ prospect in the top 50 of our updated Class of 2025 rankings, is the Deptford forward who unfortunately saw her season cut short in early January just like Wilkins. Eli got her career off to a strong start as a freshman, an excellent offensive game and strong defensive presence with more improvement to be had, but just six games into her sophomore season, that came to an end. We’re excited to see where her junior year will take her with Deptford.
