Frierson is beginning her senior for the Lady Red Foxes this fall for Head Coach Justin Johnson. Jasmine was able to use a nice pull-up jumper here in transition today. She really has a quick set of hands to generate steals up the floor the other way.
Jasmine will touch the paint on a regular basis with her play. Frierson joined the 1,000 point career club last season. Frierson a scoring guard will drop the floater in the lane when given the chance.
Watt a combo guard seems to be most comfortable at times playing off the ball. She did set up her teammates on several occasions today with her quality passing. Marcia was able to connect on some shots from behind the three-point line here today. She never seemed to force her shot or passes. Marcia really played well with her teammates on the floor and brought positive energy.
Broadway plays at SCISA Class 1A school Holly Hill Academy. Leanna was trying to find her groove here today with Team 9. She plays out on the wing as a small forward.
Daugherty plays the game with a very good skill level. Molly utilized the old school bounce pass at times today. She really sees the floor well and plays the game very unselfishly at times. Molly jumped the passing lanes on several occasions today which led into easy buckets going the other direction. Daugherty has the ability to finish with both hands at the buckets when she’s not draining perimeter jumpers along the way.
Daugherty tends to be shot ready to receive the ball in the pocket every time. She never forces her shot while on the floor. Molly certainly will be a future Stock-Riser in the next updated rankings next month. Can the Lady Green Wave make a move in Class 5A this coming season?
Adams a point guard is quick with the ball from side to side on the floor. Jordyn can score the rock from 3 levels on the floor. She dropped a few floaters along the way today for her efforts. Adams used a nice 1-dribble pull-up at times today to score the rock.
Adams really seems to excel in more of an up-tempo style of play type of game.
Highlights
Thomas really understands on how to use her body down low on the block. Madison was able to play with her back to the basket and post-up her defenders. She knows how to seal off defenders to receive the ball down low. Madison showed a good touch on the foul line today.
She’s another solid piece on this talented Summerville HS roster this coming season.
Richburg is a TWEENER at the next level with her play. Janiya a left-handed forward HUSTLES for everything she does on the floor. She has no problems defending the lanes and bigger post players.
Janiya can get by bigger defenders with her foot speed. Richburg has no problems jumping on the floor for a loose ball or grabbing a rebound in traffic.
Andrus really likes to play in the high post and more as face-up forward. Mya has a good set of hands around the paint. She was able to drop some 15-17 foot jumpers here today. Mya will put the ball on the deck and try to get by her defender at times.
