Brown brings a competitive demeanor every time she touches the floor. Rickell today was scoring the ball from all 3-levels with drives, nice mid-range jumper and some bombs from downtown.
Rickell does a tremendous job of swarming the ball on the defensive end of the floor. She really prides herself in playing defense and getting after loose balls. Brown was able to slash and get the ball downhill to the cup on several occasions today.
Norriyah kept the ball on a string all day long to the cup. She raced by defenders on the way to the bucket for an easy 2-points at times. Bradley really sees the floor very well and seems to be one-step ahead of her mates with her court vision.
Bradley really made her teammates happy at times with the way she would set them up with quality looks. Norriyah plays the game with a bit of a chip on her shoulder at times it seems.
Johnson was one of the biggest surprises here today for Prep Girls Hoops with her play. Krystal went to work down low clearing out the paint and getting bucket after bucket. Johnson really likes to play the game physical.
Krystal has a really nice touch from the foul line. She connected on a few short turnaround jumpers today. Johnson really made a lasting impression on us with her play today. She certainly will be a Stock-Riser down the road in the next set of Palmetto State Rankings.
Graf played extremely aggressive at times today when it came to attacking the basket. Tiana was always in the middle of action today on both ends of the floor. Graf was able to slash to the cup and finish a few at the rim today.
Giles is a raw post player from Carvers Bay HS. Maya has good length and the ability to block shots from time to time. She’s a decent defender who plays down in the post area. Giles needs to be more assertive and aggressive on both ends of the floor. Giles is apiece to the puzzle for the Lady Bears in Class 1A this coming season.
Leamon certainly plays mature for her age while on the floor. Zara has a very good overall skill set to play all over the floor at times. She was able to finish some runs to the basket or simply knockdown perimeter jumpers.
She was great in the passing lanes picking up some steals that led to easy looks heading the other direction.
Highlights
Lyza is a very good athlete, and it shows on the floor. Pricklemyer a left-handed guard was in the right place on several occasions today to knockdown some buckets. Lyza left-handed guard plays really well away from the ball. She constantly moves around the floor and makes herself to receive the ball.
Lyza really makes heady plays if it comes to passing the rock or just knowing where to move on the floor.
Davis was able to slash and attack the basket at times today. She seemed to do her best work around the ball. Madisyn brought good energy to the floor every time she was in the game. Davis seems to be the ultimate team player at times with her efforts on the floor. She doesn’t have to be scoring the rock to be effective.
Highlights
Cooke just a freshman surely played aggressive at times today for her age. She had no problems jumping on the floor for a loose ball or simply looking to make a play. Cooke is a pass first guard who should see some minutes this coming season for the Lady Foxes as a freshman.
Whalen plays the game quite aggressive around the paint area. The future looks bright at Irmo HS with her and several other young players on board. Elaina remained active on both ends of the floor. She was able to collect some rebounds and finish around the cup. She really understands how to work to get to the ball.
