Here I take a look at some of the newer talent that I had not seen.
Margaret Luba Margaret Luba 5'10" | SG Sunnyslope | 2026 State AZ Sunnyslope (Featured Image)
Maggie quietly put on quite a show during the event. She was among the leading scorers on the day. She scored in a variety of ways from pull up jumpers to floaters with either hand.
Peyton Schiltz Peyton Schiltz 5'10" | SF Horizon | 2026 State AZ Horizon
Off the dribble, catch and shoot three’s, you name it and Peyton was doing it offensively. She had very nice form and shot it with range. Schiltz is gonna be a player to watch.
Keira Lewis Keira Lewis 5'8" | SF Canyon View | 2026 State AZ Canyon View
Lewis showed a lot to like in her game. She is a good shooter that doesn’t take many bad shots. She has a very good feel for the game and has good hands on defense.
Teagan Mcilroy Teagan Mcilroy 5'7" | CG Sunnyslope | 2025 State AZ Sunnyslope
McIlroy made quite an impression with her offensive versatility. She was looking to make the right pass but also flashed offensive skill. She was aggressively attacking the basket and showed a nice mid range game.
Ashley Shaw Ashley Shaw 5'6" | PG Desert Vista | 2026 State AZ Desert Vista
Shaw was maybe the surprise of the event. She’s a point guard with good ball handling skills and changes direction very well. She made some nice passes with both hands and played very good on the ball defense.
