St. Vincent Pallotti held their annual middle school showcase, and it has become a top-notch event that I look forward to. Coaches Rashida Joiner and Benny Edison provided excellent instruction, encouragement and knowledge in a very organized setting.

I was able to watch the 2028 game and some of the 2029 game and came away impressed with the follow players.

[player_tooltip player_id='948756' first='Logan' last='Clifton'], 2028, Team Thrill

Smart, pass first point guard with solid fundamentals. She looked good in catch and shoot situations, knocking down a couple of threes.

Rhyan Rice, 2029 [program_tooltip program_id='712942' first='Team' last='Takeover']

Talented wing/forward with some power in her game. Very aggressive scoring mentality with a nice touch from the foul line. She made a nice coast to coast basket after grabbing a rebound. Big body and a good motor.

[player_tooltip player_id='946905' first='Sanaa' last='Ridley'], 2028, [program_tooltip program_id='714380' first='Maryland' last='Belles']

Sanaa looked like one of the most athletic guards in the event. She is explosive and very speedy. She didn't get many touches on offense but her on ball defense was solid. Looking forward to seeing more of her.

[player_tooltip player_id='1057659' first='Cadence' last='Harriott'], 2028, [program_tooltip program_id='715611' first='Team' last='Durant']

Physical forward with some good size. Played with force in the paint and showed off a nice touch around the basket. She made a nice turn-around jumper and looked confident putting the ball on the floor.

Aysha Gilmetdinova, 2028, Tru2Form

Skilled six-footer with a nice touch on her mid-range jumper. She played very unselfishly, setting picks and crashing the boards. She is zoned for Winston-Churchill high school.

Charli Blandford, 2028, [program_tooltip program_id='712942' first='Team' last='Takeover']

Lefty guard with a good IQ. Exceptional athlete and ball handler. She attacked when appropriate on offense, but mostly looked to pass first. She has skills, and when the perimeter shot improves she get major minutes in high school.

Vanessa Flood, 2028, [program_tooltip program_id='712942' first='Team' last='Takeover']

Very long and bouncy wing with good speed and explosiveness. She has some versatility to her game, but I was especially impressed with how she attacked the glass. She finished well at the rim and scored on several put backs. She has the tools to be an outstanding defender. She's currently at the Severn School and could be a program changer if she stays there for high school.

[player_tooltip player_id='902225' first='Camryn' last='Thomas'], 2028, Team Thrill

Tough guard with a nice step back jumper. She knows how to create space to get shots off and threw some nice, accurate passes.
