Headrick is a big body with phenomal footwork! She’s really good at all the little things that most non-hoop heads will miss. Primed for a breakout year. Has really developed a polished post game with soft touch around the rim. Knows how and when to use her strength to initiate contact and creating scoring angles.
A shifty big bodied PG that is a great leader, makes her teammates better, and plays with great energy. She’s sneaky quick, and when she gets into the paint can play of one or two feet; has a creative finishing bag with either hand; has a deadly floater. Ultra confident 3pt shooter, not scared to shoot step backs from deep. High level court vision. She will be a problem this season.
Highlights
A super athletic kid that can play most any position. One of the most athletically gifted kids in the area. Uses her athleticism to be a lockdown defender capable of taking away the other team’s best option. Runs the floor incredibly well, excellent at getting to the rim and agile enough to finish around while strong enough to finish through; and is a menace on the offensive glass. Uber athletic….if her skills catch up to her athleticism she’s perhaps a top tier kid in the state. Another player primed for a breakout.
Highlights
Butler should be a Miss Basketball nominee this season. She has always been a natural high level scorer solely on her athleticism and instincts…as she can get to the rim on almost any defender. She’s worked hard on adding a jump shot to her game, and she’s now a LEGIT 3 level scorer. Look for her to put up huge numbers this season and be a major breakout kid!
Highlights
Howard is a solid PG with an old-school game. She sacrifices her own offense for the her teammates. Constantly thinking how to get others involved, thinking “who’s got the hot hand?”, “who hasn’t touched the ball in a while?”, etc. High IQ….thinks the game. Always one step ahead, and sees what others can’t. A true PG thats an extension of the coach on the floor. Always in command of the offense and doesn’t get rattled by pressure. Has worked very hard to improve her jumper, and we believe, she is primed for a breakout season. I
Highlights
Jones (Jr, C) is a 6’3 defensive menace! Possessing high level length and athleticism, Jones is one of the premier defensive posts in the state. She can both sit down in a stance and guard, and is also fantastic coming in from the weak side as a shot blocker. Phenomenal defensive instincts.
She’s also developed her offensive game to the point where she is a high-level finisher at the rim, and can know step out and knock down jumpers. She’s a potential D1 kid garnering lots of interest from college coaches. She is going to blow up this season at White Co.
