Class of 2024 Uncommitted Prospects (Part I)

We are 48 days away from the start of the 2023-2024 girls high school basketball season in the Bluegrass State. So with not much going on in early October I decided to put together a list of uncommitted rising seniors.    [player_tooltip player_id='410501' first='Ava' last='Slusser'] put up 3.6 points along with 2.2 boards per game last season for a Simon Kenton team that won the 8th region and came up just short of advancing to the Elite 8. She is a knock-down shooter from deep, that can also attack the basket for points at the rim. Slusser made major strides over the summer playing [program_tooltip program_id='712599' first='KY' last='Fusion'] and looks to have a great senior year for the Lady Pioneers this season.    I watched [player_tooltip player_id='487157' first='Jeannae' last='Bolin'] play for the first time last month at the PGH Kentucky Top 250 Expo and I was extremely impressed. I heard a lot about her prior to then but seeing her play in-person made me realize how overlooked she actually is. Bolin makes her presence known on both ends of the floor. Offensively, she is an excellent low post scorer that can also step out and make shots from the perimeter. Defensively, she shows great instincts and tremendous shot blocking ability. She led PRP in scoring with 16.6 points per game and rebounding with 8.4. Bolin would be a steal for a college program. (Featured Image)    [player_tooltip player_id='470571' first='Brooklyn' last='White'] averaged 8.4 points and 7.2 rebounds a game as a junior last season. She is a grit and grind type of post player. Her size, strength and ability to play physical and move bodies in the paint makes her a tough matchup in the interior. White thrives off of points around the rim but she is capable of making short jumpers as well. Paris graduated 4 seniors including their top scorer and rebounder. White will have to step up as the only senior on the team. Her leadership and production will be vital for the Lady Hounds success. College coaches should put this young lady on their radar because she is as tough as they come and has the potential to play at the next level. I see her numbers going way up this season.    [player_tooltip player_id='667086' first='Victory' last='Sledge'] was a key contributor for Frederick Douglass last season. In just 12 games played she averaged 8.3 points while grabbing 4.8 rebounds a game. Her hard-nosed defense and ability to score from all 3-levels helped Douglass win the 11th region and make it to the Sweet 16. Sledge impacts the game on both ends and is sure to have a big senior year as this will be her first full season playing for the Lady Broncos.    [player_tooltip player_id='583990' first='Olivia' last='Beach'] averaged 4.9 points and 3.8 rebounds in 26 games played for Rowan County last season. She plays primarily in the post and is a bit undersized at the center position but her relentless effort and work-horse mentality makes up for it. I really like how she plays her role and doesn't mind doing the dirty work. Beach has a good all-around game. She gets buckets inside and has the touch to step-out and make shots from the mid-range. Beach also makes an impact on defense with her ability to come up with steals and guard positions 1-5. After graduating 4 seniors including Kentucky's Miss Basketball. I see Beach stepping up and having a more substantial role this season.
