2024 CG Ellie Laier Ellie Laier 5’7″ | PG Hartland | 2024 State MI from Hartland led the way for her team on both ends of the floor. She made contested shots at the rim and kept control of the ball using sweeps and retreat dribbles to create space. Ellie keeps her eyes up in transition to see the court and passed up a contested shot for an assist. She had offensive rebounds and played a very effective game for the Eagles as their court general.
2026 PG Melanie Kolnitys Melanie Kolnitys 5’3″ | PG State MI showed exactly why she is a top prospect in her grade on Sunday. Melanie effectively sees the court at all times on offense and defense. She is a nuisance off the ball filling gaps in help to create steals with her quickness or on ball pressure. Melanie shifts into the next gear using hesitation dribbles and explosive steps to beat her defender and cause foul trouble for opponents. She has an excellent finishing game at the rim and will cause headaches for opponents this fall.
2026 PG Kayla Hairston Kayla Hairston 5’2″ | PG Goodrich | 2026 State MI from Goodrich put on a clutch display Sunday. She utilized quick jabs, sweeps, step backs and whatever else she needed to do against ball pressure. Kayla drilled a contested corner 3 from the corner and made plays in crucial moments of the game. She will be a top 2026 prospect to watch this season for the Martians.
2026 SG Faith Zoldos Faith Zoldos 5’9″ | SG Rochester Adams | 2026 State MI went into another gear Sunday at the Cage. In the first game she knocked down a 3 pointer, and finished multiple full speed layups at the rim. She shot 44% from the field, putting up 9 points in game one. Her explosive steps make her a problem to stop on defense and tough to shoot against on offense. Faith showed progress when drawing defenders and making the extra pass in transition and added 3 steals. She will be a top performer for Adams this winter.
Highlights
