Spencer showed “high energy” on both ends of the court and watching her go after everything off the rim off the top JUST DID IT for me. She also dove for loose balls and her on the ball defense was smothering as it helped to create turnovers. She went coast to coast to score or dish, yes she saw the floor well and her body control and powerful frame enabled her to finish after contact. She also played the passing lane and showed she could drop the jumper while being defended
Manuel almost had defenders needing a manual to try and guard her and as well as I have seen her play in the past, she does what I love to see in players and that’s “seize the opportunity” which will have her added to the next update. She also went after the ball off the rim, in the air and on the floor, her on the ball defense and quick hands created turnovers yet after the steal, she handled the ball effortlessly to score or dish. Her slight HEZ off the dribble was nice, so was her spin move as it created points and her pull-up jumper and court vision were both nice
Massenburg gets the #THROWBACK hashtag for the “hands and footwork” she showed in the paint yet her ability to score around the basket either facing or putbacks, yes she rebounded on both ends, was very nice. She also showed good timing to block, alter and (or) deflect shots but she used her frame nicely on defense and inside the paint, she did a very good job of holding whoever she was guarding. Oh yeah, she showed she could attack the basket off the dribble
Bush-Lewis showed not only a very nice first step, but she added the “TURBO” to it which makes it explosive. Her body control on her finishes were nice, she scored after contact yet her court vision in the set as well as in transition was very nice. She showed the pull-up jumper and dropped it while being defended, she dove for loose balls and went after the ball off the rim yet watching her play the passing lane and handle the ball under pressure to score or dish was also solid
Highlights
Green means GO and she definitely went after the ball after the offensive player shot it. Her timing was among the best at the event, yes she blocked and altered some shot yet her mere presence was a present for me because she’s “long and athletic” and stands above “the magic number” which are huge pluses for the next level. So was her “hands and footwork” #THROWBACK, but she also faced the basket to score from mid to long range. Her rebounding on both ends was also solid
Bruce was another player who gave me the “hands and footwork” I love to see so she gets the #THROWBACK hashtag as well but her ability to score multiple ways was nice. Yes, she scored around the basket, putbacks included, she rebounded on bot ends, but she also not only went after the ball off the rim, she handled it afterward. She attacked off the dribble, she showed the reverse layup, but she also dropped both the mid and long range jumper
Highlights
Peavy is another player that is “long and athletic” and stands over “the magic number” yet the real magic happened when she touched the ball. I tweeted the video I had seen of her didn’t do her game any justice and I meant it because she scored however she wanted around the basket, with either hand. She knocked down the jumper consistently from midrange, even dropped it from deep but her spin move off the dribble dropped the mic. She also rebounded on both ends, handled the ball going coast to coast and played solid defense, yet her TIMING was off the chain
