The definition of GLUE is basically something that holds something together and that fits with these players whom I caught multiple times, even with me using peripheral vision, aka side vision which means "what is seen on the side by the eye when looking straight ahead" because when I'm evaluating, my mind is clicking and I don't have a lot of time to chat because I want to try and see as much as possible so these young ladies did several little things that turned out to be huge

[player_tooltip player_id='782606' first='Isa' last='Alaniz']-5'6 G/F (The Woodlands) [program_tooltip program_id='715136' first='RBC' last=''] [2026]

Alaniz is strong and she showed she could use her strength to her advantage on both ends, starting with the fact that she understands positioning, which helped enable her to outrebound taller players, this is always a big plus when I'm evaluating bit her attacking the basket powerfully and finishing after contact was also nice. Her body control on her finishes helped enable her to do that but she mixed it up offensively by showing she could drop the jumper from midrange. She also showed she could defend "on the ball" in the set as well as in full-court

[player_tooltip player_id='664394' first='Caeleigh' last='Rogers']-5'9 G/F (Cedar Park) Phoenix Gold [2026]

Rogers just finds ways to make things happen and she's one of those players that when you go back and look at the stat sheet, you see she's filled up and get this, she does it in the flow, it's the little things that turn out to be huge as I mentioned in the opening paragraph. She scored consistently in each game yet more importantly she not only wanted to take the BIG shot, she nailed it. She also hit the boards, on both ends of the court, and did a good job defending but just as importantly as everything else, her court vision also stood out

[player_tooltip player_id='486404' first='Jaclyn' last='Silva']-5'5 PG (John Paul II) [program_tooltip program_id='712967' first='Texas' last='U'] [2026]

Silva can be whatever is needed for her team to succeed by running the 1, btw, the game starts at the 1. She can be a facilitator because she sees the floor through a microscope and watching her hit teammates in traffic from past 25 feet in the open court was a pleasure yet she understands how to control the tempo and get others involved in the set. She attacks the basket using a variety of moves to score or dish, her deceptive first step played a part in that but she also creates her shot under pressure and knocks it down, with a hand in her face

[player_tooltip player_id='331942' first='Sydnie' last='Villarreal']-5'6 G (St Agnes) [program_tooltip program_id='716188' first='[program_tooltip program_id='714504' first='[program_tooltip program_id='712898' first='[program_tooltip program_id='712777' first='Proskills' last='']Houston [2025]

Villareal brought whatever her team needed at particular times and she was another player who understood how to run a team. She pushed the ball in transition at the right time, and her court vision and ball handling under pressure were both pluses but watching her set her teammates up for good looks speaks volumes about her BB-IQ. She also did a good job of rebounding against taller players, again understanding positioning still works in this new era yet she also did a good job taking the defender off the dribble to score and finish

[player_tooltip player_id='782598' first='Briann' last='Warehime']-5'8 G (Academy) Phoenix Select [2025]

Warehime gave me a really good look and her athleticism on both ends immediately stood out because she did a good job defensively while I was using my peripheral from afar. She's heady and did a good job rebounding against taller players, and positioning again, but she also handled the ball in transition and made things happen by hitting teammates or showing the "stop and pop" jumper. Her mid to long-range was nice, and so was her "catch and shoot" but her attacking the basket to score or dish was also impressive
