One more time, this is a WATCHLIST and not a RANKING so players are placed in ALPHABETICAL ORDER based on their SURNAME, oh my bad, last names so I’ll add another 10-15 in a few weeks, but here you go. Sidenote, expect Loghan Hamilton Loghan Hamilton 5'9" | SG Harlan | 2027 State TX (Harlan) to make a huge debut whenever I catch up with her. Why asked the novices, because I dropped #D1Lock on her in the 3rd-grade #ThereIsNoMe
Chavez secured my #D1Lock drop while she was in the 6th grade and I always say “correct me when I’m wrong” but her poise back then against older players heading to the next level made it easy for me to see what’s coming. She scores however she wants to and watching her attack the basket off the dribble and show body control after contact is really nice. She also can drop the mid to long-range, stop and pop in transition is nice but so is her court vision
Highlights
Taylor understands how to “sew things up” as I play on words a lot yet her play on the floor is much better. She does a good job at controlling the tempo and watching her handle the ball under pressure as well as seeing the floor while heavily guarded are big pluses when running the 1. She also does a good job of creating her shot and knocks it down from mid to long-range yet her deceptive first step allows her to get b the defender and score off the dribble
Read is the perfect last name for this talented point guard because she “reads and sees the floor” through a microscope yet she too was in the 6th grade when I dropped my #D1Lock on her because event then, her ability to do things instinctively and her reactions in certain situations sealed it. She scores from mid to long range as well as off the dribble, yet she also passes well while attacking the basket yet watching her thread the needle in traffic in the open court is really nice and she does it with either hand
Highlights
Cole impressed me the first time I saw her yet she overly impressed me a few weeks ago at the Lady Tiger Classic see evaluation here
Highlights
Roberts was perplexed when I asked what her name was and she responded “why do you always ask me, you know my name” and I responded yeah but you’re a blur on the court but she was All Tournament at the PGH Freshman Showcase and that sealed it
Barrett has some scary upside and when you find players that are fearless, as well as skilled, watch out and her showing out on the PGH Circuit as well as the PGH Freshman Showcase solidified her being recognized see evaluation here
Jefferson will be MOVIN ON UP whenever I put numbers by the players’ names over her career because of her intensity, on both ends of the court. She left me with a lasting impression after seeing her at the PGH Freshman Showcase and making All Tournament so see evaluation here
