SubscribeWhen people think of DMV basketball, they usually don’t have Annapolis as one of their featured cities. Well, that is about to change. The capital of Maryland is about to put some big time players onto the college scene in a couple of years. Here is a look at some ballers from Annapolis and some other areas in the state.
Bailey is a big-time prospect that is about to blow up on a national level. She’s a dangerous three level scorer and a good defender as well. Her high school team, St. Mary’s, is moving up to the A conference and is playing a tough out of conference schedule. Her name will be in the mix.
Alexandra is set up for a great season. A versatile wing with excellent size, she has put in the off season work and got some good competition in the summer. She will also benefit from the move up to the A conference and tougher schedule.
Highlights
Sydney led the county in scoring last season and I don’t see any reason why she won’t repeat. She’s an aggressive scoring guard that gets after it on defense and scores lots of transition buckets. College coaches looking for a scorer should have her on their radar.
Azareya is a guard/wing with nice size and versatility. She can guard multiple positions and has a high basketball IQ. I like her communication on the court and her leadership skills. She’s a lock to garner All County recognition. She is still looking for the right college fit.
