At 6’0, Anna brings a lot of size to the middle for Porter Ridge. She is a bothersome defender down low and her length will make things difficult for her opponents. She does a good job setting the high screen, allowing her teammates to get open and get their shots offensively. This is a player who still has a good amount of upside as has shown to be able to put up double digits in games. She is a very solid interior presence that will be huge for the Lady Pirates this season.

The freshman played some very solid minutes for Coach Baker Friday at the Leroy Holden Invitational. She had a very nice one step power dribble in the post where she turned around and scored over the outstretched arms of her defender. She is certainly a player that could start in a number of programs as she showed a lot of poise in a very high pressure environment. She never seemed to get rattled which is exactly what you want to see out of your young players. Very solid approach to the game and you have to love her overall skillset. She is certainly one to keep your eyes on.

Shannon is a tough post that really showed off her ability to go to work in the paint. When the ball goes inside, she will body her way right towards the basket. She can be physically overwhelming to her opponents and she will bring it on every possession. She will fight for every loose ball and will embrace contact. Any coach would love the intensity she plays with as she will fight for every ball that goes up in the air. She is the player that is ready to go to war for all 40 minutes of the game and can defend a multitude of positions.
Lenise is the #1 player in North Carolina’s 2027 class – and that says a lot for a class as loaded as this one. The freshman phenom garnered MVP honors after leading her team to victory in the Holden Invitational Championship game. Though it’s much easier said than done, Lenise’s ability to finish near the basket is uncommon. She has clearly separated herself as a player by being able to score at an astronomically high percentage anytime the ball goes inside. She has very good shot selection and there are moments where she will get her shot off quicker than her defenders have a chance to react to it. If you throw the ball up high, she’ll go get it and put the ball in the basket. She showed that she can play in the high-pressure environment, delivering key baskets at pivotal moments in the game. There is just not a lot of teams that can handle the shear load that she brings from start to finish. North Meck has to be excited about what they can accomplish as a program over the next four years with a player of this caliber.
