SubscribeSometimes the forgotten group in high school sport coverage is the signed group of seniors. The wonder and excitement of recruiting of over….and all that’s left…play one last season of high school basketball. Let’s checked in with signed seniors in the state and look into their individual situations for their senior year. Here’s who to know–and go watch them if you can!
Allen (South Gibson) is going to the perfectly suited Campbellsville Tigers (currently ranked #1 in NAIA as I write this). Allen is an electric guard that can do a bit of everything with the ball in her hands. A willing playmaker or scorer; she simply finds ways to help her team score.
Highlights
Johnson is a dazzling quick and shifty guard from East Nashville who recently gave her commitment to Tallahassee. Johnson is one of those guards that gets to her spots athletically, but needs to continue to refine her shot making and play making. Blinding athlecism! Tons of potential.
Fields (Brentwood) is continuing in the tradition of BWright players heading to UNC Asheville. She’s an all-state guard that is asked to do a bit of everything on this Brentwood club. She’s the engine that get’s them going, and as long as she’s in attack-mode, good things happen for her club. She’s a lot of fun to watch!
This old school CAK PG recently committed to Anderson University. Looking forward to watching the mix of veterans and youthful talent at CAK this year, and Proffit will be asked to be the leader. She’s a great floor general, and never looks rattled. Controls the game. Looking for her to have a big year!
Freed-Hardman Coach Epperson is getting a blue collar worker in Edwards. Highly skilled, strong, competitive spirit. She’s perfect for the NAIA game. Edwards will continue to bring Maryville back to life.
