It’s a great look into how high school teams are going to look this upcoming year. What adjustments did they make in the off season? What players are stepping up after losing senior leadership from the previous season? Let’s take a look at some of the shooters that stood out at the event.
Adelaide Jernigan continues to show off her ability to shoot anywhere around the perimeter. The lefty guard does a nice job drawing defenders to her as she finds her open teammates for their own shot. She does a nice job using her length to knock the ball away on defense inhibiting her opponents from getting a play going. She hustled back on defense grabbing a rebound and immediately finding her open teammate up the court passing the ball perfectly right to her hands.
Samantha Shehan continues to show off her range shooting the ball, and she does a nice job boxing out her opponents on the other end for rebounds. She was constantly using her length to get her hands in the way deflecting passes and preventing her opponent from getting plays going. She attacks the paint, too, driving hard to the basket scoring two points.

Isabel Torgerson was showing off her range knocking down multiple shots from around the perimeter. She was sliding around the arc looking for the open looks, and she stayed ready to shoot off the pass. She seems to know how to move on the offensive side of the court relocating without the ball to shift the defense and find where to make plays.
Kennedy Jackson has a nice shot from around the perimeter that she is always ready to show off. Her quick release and ability to find the open looks are fun to watch and will continue to be an asset for Wesleyan Christian. She is tough on defense, too, crashing boards and handling her own on the block.

Summer Thomason showed off her range shooting the ball. She did a nice job moving without the ball to get the open look, and she was able to shoot right off the pass. You can tell how well she sees the floor with the way she moves on offense whether that is running plays or moving freely on her own.
