SCORER
Andrews is a talented player and a skilled guard that can go out and get buckets. When her team needs points, they can always turn to Andrews. She has the ability to create on her own and score in the flow of the offense.
If you saw Baker play over grassroots season, you know exactly why her name is here. We all knew that she could score in a variety of ways, but she took it to another level this summer. She was so consistent and steady against high level competition.
Highlights
TEAM PLAYER
Washington is the definition of a team player. She could put together a huge stat line together every night. But instead, she does what her team needs her to do to get the W. Washington is such a valuable player not just because of her elite skills, but also because of her team first approach.
Dillard is the kind of player that every coach wants and that no coach wants to take off the floor. She’s willing to go the limits for her team and will be the first to hit the floor, take a charge, or grab a huge rebound.
Highlights
QUICKNESS
Sanders is a lightning bolt on the basketball court. She can put so much pressure on opposing defenses with her fast first step. Sanders can utilize her fast feet on both ends of the floor as well.
Karma Jones is quick as can be, with and without the ball in her hands. She can attack off the bounce and put defenders on her hip. Jones also loses defenders with her energy and quickness moving without the ball.
Highlights
VERSATILITY
FACILITATOR
Reynolds is one of the better facilitators in the midwest. She’s at her best, and the team is at their best, when the offense runs through her. Reynolds creates opportunities for herself and teammates and gets them the ball when they need it.
I think Thelen is actually pretty underrated as a facilitator. She’s so steady with the ball and is a terrific passer. Thelen can help get teammates in scoring positions, and when they are, will get them the ball with a pretty pass.
UPSIDE
Davenport University got a steal in my opinion. Thomas brings a ton to the table as a prospect. She has length that she uses defensively and can really attack the defense at multiple levels.
College coaches are always looking for an effective post player and Lundquist can fill that bill. She’s been one of the most improved players in the last year or so and I can see that trend continuing. Lundquist will be a double-double threat every night out this high school season.
