One of those articles being our Player Of The Week. The POTW is an individual that displayed what it means to put on a major performance/s for their perspective squad. A player can win this award for a number of reasons but most importantly because their overall play helped lead their team to a competitive contest.
Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!
Player Of The Week: Bailey Birmingham Bailey Birmingham 5'9" | SF Norwalk | 2025 State IA
High School: Norwalk
Class: 2025

At the beginning of the season, there are always a decent amount of players from across the state that make their presence known early on. A player that has been on FIRE to start this winter for her Norwalk Warrior high school team is Bailey Birmingham Bailey Birmingham 5'9" | SF Norwalk | 2025 State IA . Birmingham is a junior guard that is going to be tasked to put up A TON of points this season by the looks of it. In her first contest of the year, she went off for 33 points in a win and her next two games, were just as impressive as she poured in 33 and 37, along with grabbing a handful of rebounds, dishing out a few assists, and creating turnovers in both the full and half court defensively. It’s easy to see that Birmingham is the most skilled offensively on their roster and her coaches are going to take full advantage of that. A lot of people would look at these point totals and say that she is scoring so much because of how many shots she is taking but her team is winning their games, she is averaging 33.5 PPG, and she is shooting 48% from the field while doing it. Some pretty good numbers if you ask me. Not to mention that she has been showing off her physical prowess and killing it from the free throw strip this season, making 30-38 thus far. I’m curious how opposing teams are going to adapt to the Warriors play-style the rest of the year but as for this past week, Birmingham showed out and deserves this award.
