SubscribeHere are a few players we are looking forward to watch in the Class of 2024.
Shawnee is overall the top player in the state for this class with her elite handle and playmaking ability. She is set to have a big senior season with a stacked Lone Peak team to try and bring home another state title. She is committed to Cal Baptist.
Sarah and Shawnee will be an elite duo for Lone Peak this season. With her size and skill set, Sarah may be the most dominant player at her position for this class. She rebounds everything and is constantly a threat in the paint. With her controlling the inside, Lone Peak will be hard to beat this year. She is committed to BYU.
Jaety Mandaquit Jaety Mandaquit 5’7″ | PG Salt Lake Academy | 2024 State UT is an all around athlete. She led this class in scoring as a junior at nearly 22 PPG. She just recently signed to play soccer at Sacramento State but make no mistake, she can hoop. She has a good feel for the game, can get in the paint and create, and has a nice touch on her finishes especially her floater. Keep an eye on this scoring machine out of Salt Lake Academy.
Maya made the move back to Alta for her senior year and is looking to have a big senior year. She’s a threat from 3 as she’s a knockdown shooter and can get in the mid range as well. Good pickup for Alta adding a talented scorer.
Brianna has shown that she can be a threat as a 3 level scorer. She has good size for her position and can shoot from the 3 and the mid range but is not limited to that. She can get a head of steam and get the paint to finish either direction. She will be a scoring threat for Bingham this year once again and will likely see her numbers raise a few as well.
Absolute dagger from 3! Great size for a shooting guard who can score in a variety of ways and also adds size and length on the defensive end. Very good at being in passing lanes and with her size she can potentially guard 3-4 positions. She is set to have a big senior season. She is signed to play at Utah Tech.
Destinee will be the senior anchor for a craft Summit Academy team. She has an elite handle and is very very crafty at her size. She has a great looking shot at the 3 and off the dribble in the mid range as well as solid vision when the balls in her hands. She’s going to look to push in transition and get down hill. Coming off an injury she is healthy and ready to make a statement for her senior year.
Ashley is a very solid center and is one of the Top 5 returning scorers in her class. With her side and athleticism she has been able to dominate the paint. Averaging a 17 point and 12 rebound double-double as a junior is not an easy thing to do so Ashley has proved she’s one of the best. Be on the lookout for a HUGE senior year.
Kealah dominated in the paint last season as a junior. She had some of the best stats we’ve seen at her position averaging nearly 18 points and 10 rebounds. Another double double machine that will use her size and strength to her advantage and will hold down the paint against mostly all teams Dixie will face this season. Expect and even bigger showing for her senior campaign.
Danae is a very crafty point guard. Last year Highland was a senior heavy program so we’re looking to see a little bit of a breakout for Danae this season. She has caught the eye of some junior colleges out west and that interest will only grow with a greater opportunity for her senior year. Keep an eye out for this crafty point guard.
Amelie is another talented and scrappy guard in this class. She can handle the rock, bite the paint, and really get to the bucket for her score. She is going to need to be a leader for this Cyprus group and make a jump this season to compete. Be on the lookout for Amelia this season in the box scores as she’s set for a big senior season for the Pirates.
