The fall basketball season has provided constant action at high school leagues and showcase events. In this preview edition, we turn our attention to the KLAA West division prospects you don’t want to miss this winter.

She finished 3rd in the state, shooting 87.63% as a freshman from the free throw line and also made first team all-conference. Gabby has excellent court vision, ball handling poise, and defensive awareness. One of the highlights of her summer came when she made 7 three point attempts in the first half of fall league on 8 attempts. Gabby will be a must watch prospect for a talented Howell team who should compete for the division title.
2024 SG Madison Morson Madison Morson 5’8″ | SG Plymouth Salem | 2024 State MI is one of the most athletic and exciting prospects to watch in the state. She was apart of the exclusive BCAM’S Best All-State team in 2022 and is committed to Central Michigan University. Her dominance on the court helped lead the Rock’s to a KLAA West division title, conference championship, and semi-final appearance. Madison has the explosiveness to split double teams and finish with either hand at the rim; she is special. Her quickness and vertical ability is outstanding. Madison will be a Miss Basketball candidate this season and a headliner for the KLAA West.
2024 Wing Jordan Popyk Jordan Popyk 6’1″ | SF Novi | 2024 State MI is going to be a dominant force for the Wildcats this season. She is committed to Gannon University and has the versatility to score anywhere on the court. Her length and ability to handle the ball effectively makes matching up with her one on one nearly impossible. Jordan can accurately shoot the ball beyond the arc and utilize various dribbles to win one on one battles to the rim. The Wildcats will be a darkhorse team in the West this season and Jordan will be instrumental to their success.
Highlights

Aubree has committed to Siena Heights University and has a relentless pursuit for the ball. She uses excellent seals and drop steps to put herself in position to score and crashes the boards with ferocity. Aubree has developed an effective pull up jumper from the high post; she has the ability to face up and finish strong at the rim. Meyer will protect the paint and be an important piece this season for Hartland’s new coaching staff.
2024 PF Justice Tramble Justice Tramble 6’0″ | PF Canton | 2024 State MI is one of the top post prospects in the state. She will be playing college basketball for South Carolina State following her senior season for Canton.
