It’s the last ride for these seniors, so let’s take a look at some of the seniors looking to finish strong this year.
Jasmine Harris has a special finesse with the ball being able to make some moves that are highlight worthy because she knows exactly when to execute them. She shows off her handles on the way to the basket protecting the possession with her change of direction moves and ball fakes. She can create her own space attacking the basket and pulling up for her jumper, or she can set herself up around the perimeter knocking down her shot from deep.
Highlights
Zoe Adams has committed to her future home, but she is playing like she has some unfinished business. The versatile athlete is a leader for her team knowing how to get to the rim handling the ball or flashing in the paint using her height and outstretched hands to make herself a big target for the score. Her shot from deep always seems to be on point, and she can make it off the pass or off the dribble.
Jada Whitesides is quick with her change of direction moves and ball fakes knowing how to get her defenders off balance to blow right by them. She can create space to put up her shot around the arc, or she can finish at the rim attacking the basket. She does a nice job making defenders close in around her, so she can make a dish to her teammates. She’s sneaky on the other end of the court stripping the ball away from her opponents and taking these steals the other direction.
Kaylee Carson is back and we are all here for it. She’s shown her high IQ her whole high school career, and she’s been the teammate that everyone needs on and off the court. She sees the floor well knowing exactly how to move to get the best look at some points for her team whether she is attacking the basket herself or she’s making the smart kick out to her teammates around the perimeter. She can knock down her own shot from all over the court creating her own space.
Mikayla Taborn is one of the most versatile players in her class. Her height is an asset on all levels of the court as she can get inside for rebounds, and she is aggressive going after offensive boards to get those second chance points. She’s got some nice post moves she can use to move her defender where she wants to score some points. Her handles don’t limit her to inside the paint, though, as she can get to the rim herself finding the open lanes or create space to put up her shot.
Sheree Gidney is certainly going to be a leader for her team this year. She’s vocal seeing the whole floor on defense and communicating what she sees to her teammates. She is dominant in the paint showing her strength as she posts up for some points. Her power dribbles and step around moves are sure to get her the chance to score. She goes after rebounds on both ends of the court, too.
