Super Scrimmage: The Steward School VS Manchester

An absolutely electric atmosphere at The Steward School that was more like a playoff game than a scrimmage. This game featured two players Mia Woolfolk Mia Woolfolk 6'2" | PF Manchester HS | 2024 State VA and Sanai Green Sanai Green 6'0" | SF Steward School | 2026 State VA that are ranked number 1 in their class in the Prep Girls Hoops ranking and both players are respectfully also ranked nationally in the top ESPN 100 as well. With a great crowd on hand with high level talent on the floor this is how things played out!

1st quarter

Rayne Wright Rayne Wright 5'11" | CG Manchester | 2025 State VA made her presence known on defense directing traffic and playing a free safety roll that led her to score five points including a transition lay-up off the steal! Keileen Edwards Keileen Edwards 5'5" | CG Manchester HS | 2026 State VA was a spark and was instant offense off the bench with a and one lay up early in the quarter Steward had great ball movement in their offense but got off to a slow start. But Lilly Thoman Lilly Thoman 5'7" | PG Steward | 2026 State VA hit the lane hard and had a beautiful off hand lay-up out the reach of outstretched defenders. Score 16-5 Manchester end of the quarter.

2nd quarter

The second quarter started like the first quarter started with great defense! With a loose ball on the floor Mia Woolfolk Mia Woolfolk 6'2" | PF Manchester HS | 2024 State VA dove on the floor for a steal and was able to make a pass and find Madison Smith Madison Smith 5'11" | SF Manchester HS | 2027 State VA for a transition lay-up! Very next play Ava Johnson Ava Johnson 6'2" | PF Steward School | 2025 State VA went to the post and was able to score with a lay-up over Mia for a much needed bucket. Leah Hampton Leah Hampton 5'5" | PG Manchester | 2024 State VA started to get involved in the scoring and she was lights out! Going 3 for 5 from three point land with hitting two of them in transition. Tori West Tori West 5'4" | PG Steward School | 2024 State VA got a much needed bucket and Sanai Green Sanai Green 6'0" | SF Steward School | 2026 State VA wing skills are now starting to be on full display! She was able to connect on a pull up jumper at the top of the key, get a nice back door lay-up and get a and one bucket for a much productive quarter! Score 16-14 Manchester end of the 2nd quarter.

3rd quarter

Sanai Green Sanai Green 6'0" | SF Steward School | 2026 State VA got things started with a three point shot! Two plays later Rayne Wright Rayne Wright 5'11" | CG Manchester | 2025 State VA had a great curl off the screen for an easy bucket. Next possession Mia Woolfolk Mia Woolfolk 6'2" | PF Manchester HS | 2024 State VA had a nice fade away and one basket! Sanai had another productive quarter with two more pull up jumpers and a total of 7 points in the quarter. Mia Woolfolk Mia Woolfolk 6'2" | PF Manchester HS | 2024 State VA was not quiet in this quarter hitting a jumper on the baseline and she backed down her defender for a bucket as well. Mia also added a big time block that led to a lay-up. 16-12 Manchester end of the 3rd quarter.

4th quarter

Both coaches went heavy on reserve players but off the bench freshman Madison Smith Madison Smith 5'11" | SF Manchester HS | 2027 State VA stood out this quarter and scored 6 points and had a couple off steals! 15-5 Manchester end of the 4th quarter.
