There is a saying amongst basketball coaches that goes like this: "There are three people that are never allowed to have a bad practice: 1) head coach, 2) best player, and 3) point guard." This simply goes to show the importance of the position, as the PG is often the leader of the team, and an extension of the coach on the floor. Let's look at some of the best PG's in the 2025 class.
<!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["766206"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"Howard is a solid PG with an old-school game. She sacrifices her own offense for the her teammates. Constantly thinking how to get others involved, thinking “who's got the hot hand?”, “who hasn't touched the ball in a while?”, etc. High IQ….thinks the game. Always one step ahead, and sees what others can't. She gets downhill with the basketball, finishing strong against contact. She's a disruptive on the ball defender, frustrating opponents the full length of the floor.rnrnWashington has had a phenomenal offseason, capturing the eyes of collegiate coaches.
