Alexander is long and athletic, yet she’s a guard who can play multiple positions. The thing about her is her ability to elevate over defenders and watching her create and drop the jumper continues to be one of her “go-to” things that just creates problems. Mid to long-range is solid, she also scores around the basket off the dribble as well as on putbacks, yes she rebounds on both ends but playing the passing lane is a plus, so is her court vision which will be a big plus for her at Tulsa
Alexander has made leaps and bounds over her career and going from primarily a back to the basket player to one that can also drop the midrange consistently as well as score off the dribble. She rebounds relentlessly on both ends of the court and her powerful finishes around the basket speaks volumes because she does it after contact also. She also defends inside the paint yet improved lateral movement have her guarding her man outside the paint as well and she will be joining her twin sister at Tulsa
Evans was dropping the long ball effortlessly in the 6th grade, I immediately dropped #D1Lock on her and she’ll be dropping them for Oklahoma State as well. I think I was more impressed with her being able to create her shot under pressure and consistently drop the midrange with ease and doing that, with a hand in her face had me smiling. She also scored and dished off the dribble, her court vision was also very nice in transition but she does a good job defending “on the ball” and she plays the passing lane
Highlights
Williams caught my eye very early and even though erroneous rosters had the wrong graduating class throughout her early years, she has landed at San Diego State for the next level. Williams is also “long and athletic” yet her timing was really nice as she blocked, altered and (or) deflected shots as well as showed nice moves to score around the basket as well as attack the basket off the dribble. Her midrange pull-up jumper was nice, she also played the passing lane and handled the ball afterward
Andersen was another player I missed, didn’t realize she had been out with an injury yet you’d never know as she’s an athletic guard that understands how to use her athleticism on both ends of the court. Watching her blow by defenders off the dribble was nice, so was her body control on her finishes, after contact included. I also liked her “stop and pop” jumper in transition as well as seeing the floor in the open court and making good decisions. Her on the ball defense was also solid
Perkins dad played at the next level, her mom played in the W for many seasons yet none of that matters if you don’t put in the work and watching her progression over the years shows that she has definitely put in the work as she’s heading to Rutgers. She is another long and athletic player, remember that will ALWAYS be the base so her timing and rebounding were big pluses, so was her scoring around the basket. I also enjoyed her taking the defender off the dribble to score and finish after contact
