Hannah Wallace Hannah Wallace 6'0" | SF Cardinal Ritter | 2024 State MO (Cardinal Ritter)
It would be easier to talk about what Wallace can’t do on the floor when writing about her game. At 6’1 she’s highly versatile and will guard every position on the floor. A SLU commit, she will make her mark as a defender early in her career. A super explosive athlete who creates a ton of steals and blocks shots. Wallace would make an All-Defensive team if the state awarded players for their performance on that end of the floor.
Zoe Best Zoe Best 5'10" | SF Incarnate Word Academy | 2024 State MO (Incarnate Word)
Best brings tons of value to the Incarnate program and will be a key reason for their continued success in her final season. The 5’10 forward has one of the best motors in the state. She is giving 100% effort at all times and flies around the floor on defense. Her quickness plays a factor on most possessions. Best will be playing in a bigger role due to the graduation of seniors. It’s her time.
Breaunna Ward (John Burroughs)
Ward is one of the players who sets defensive pressure for John Burroughs. They have one of the most talented rosters in the state and play in a full court press most games. Ward is a superb athlete and has a high defensive IQ. She covers up passing lanes, has great lateral quickness, and makes a lot of on-ball steals. Her defense leads to transition offense.
Sy’Rae Stemmons Sy’Rae Stemmons 5'11" | SF Hickman | 2025 State MO (Hickman)
Stemmons is a real engine for Hickman on the defensive side of the ball. Her grit and nonstop motor as a perimeter player is evident in her play. She’s an athletic player who has speed and jumping ability. The junior creates a lot of havoc with her play. Someone who makes handling pressure a difficult task. Stemmons will need to be at her best this season as Hickman looks to compete deep into the playoffs
