The ‘26 class is a solid group of kids who can contribute right away on the floor. These kids “star” in their role, but also will be asked to carry a little more. What I like about this class is the fact they have been battle tested and will be resilient. Earlier I mentioned a lot of these young ladies have been playing up on the travel ball season. With that being said, getting varsity tick will be nothing new to them.

Each year, we continue to add kids to our rankings. Based on their production plus so much more, we identify and uncover kids who help propel their ball clubs. Don't get me wrong, there are tons of other girls who have yet to be seen, however, here are some young ladies who are newsworthy that you need to keep your eye on.

[player_tooltip player_id='816655' first='MaKayla' last='Westfield'] (5'8/G/Stewart's Creek)- She's a hard working kid who has some shiftiness to her game. She can get downhill with ease, but shoot the 3 at a high clip. She works hard on the defensive end, willing to lay her body on the line by making hustle plays and taking charges. Great young prospect who will continue to grow.

[player_tooltip player_id='816597' first='Taylor' last='Dolente'] (5'10/G/Upperman)- They are just grown different on the plateau and Taylor is the next up and coming Lady Bee who will be big time. Blessed with great size, she is a multi-level scoring threat that is a double digit scorer nightly. Swiss army knife type, she's going to find a way to carve out her opponents weakness. Contributes on the boards, locks up on D, she is a well-rounded hooper that is on an upwards trajectory.

Cecile Brandimore (6'2/C/Franklin)- Big body kid who controls the paint. Has a knack for being in the right place at the right time to get second chance opportunities. Great block to block get who continues to add back to the basket moves to her arsenal. Controls the boards, makes opponents think twice about getting into the paint, she's a hard working kid who is growing into her own. Look for her to climb up the charts!

Abi Alexander (5'6/G/ Cannon Co.)- Heady floor general who can do all things. Timely assist, effective communicator, technician running an offense, sink shots from multiple spots on the floor, D, rebound, she can do all things like Rosie the Riveter. The kid has grown in confidence and she's like an extension of the coaching staff, always thinking the game. I love the fact that she is solid with the ball and values each possession. She doesn't get rattled and keeps her head up on the floor, looking to push. Great young prospect that is going to continue to grow.

[player_tooltip player_id='816615' first='Mazie' last='Bushman'] (5'8/G/Page)- Solid kid who has basketball in her DNA. She is a student of the game and is about to burst out the seams. A multi-level scoring threat, the kid is just fearless on the floor. She contributes in so many ways, not just by what's charted, but doing the little things people don't put stock in. She will be asked to contribute and “star in her role. Know that when her number is called, she's going to excel at it and then some. Great kid who is on an upwards trend.

[player_tooltip player_id='816629' first='Katie' last='Jo Shockley'] (5'5/G/ Macon Co. )- Lunch pail type of girl, she's going to grind it out every single time she steps on the floor. Sharpshooter who can fill it up. Corner threes, from the wing, mid-range, her comfort level is through the roof where she lets it fly. Isn't afraid to mix it up on D. Heady ball player who competes every possession.

[player_tooltip player_id='816550' first='Emma' last='Rainey'] (5'8/G/Bearden)- Dual sport athlete who is a star both on the hardwood and on the pitch. Let's not talk about her soccer skills, but she is a beautiful stroke when she shoots it. A multi-level scoring threat who is such a solid ballplayer. Let me say it like this “she's a X” factor in the making. Athletic kid who can score it, rebound it, and get steals by the bunches. Tough heady ball player who is gonna be a big deal.
