Sadie Dykstra Sadie Dykstra 6’0″ | CG Yale | 2026 State MI came into her first game with high expectations and performed once again to that level we have come to expect. She blocked shots, caused turnovers, crashed the glass, and had a successful high-low game with Barr. She can attack the basket with high pickups, pivots, and dribble moves or hit the outside shots. Sadie high points the ball on passes and rebounds: her determination on the boards and finishing shots was crucial to the team’s success. Sadie led the Bulldogs with 23 points.
Alyssa Barr Alyssa Barr 6'1" | C Yale | 2025 State MI
Alyssa Barr Alyssa Barr 6'1" | C Yale | 2025 State MI
Alyssa Barr Alyssa Barr 6’1″ | C Yale | 2025 State MI is a monster post for the Bulldogs who is a double double candidate every time she steps on the court. If you want to know what respect looks like, I watched Alyssa get double teamed in the low post Saturday. Barr had 3 consecutive offensive rebounds and hit multiple free throws after being fouled. Her length, strength, and pursuit of the ball is off the charts. Barr finished the game with 13 points and led the team in rebounding. Coaches absolutely have to see Alyssa play basketball this season, she is a top next level prospect in the post.
Skotti Ball-Duley Skotti Ball-Duley 5’10” | SG Owosso | 2024 State MI played a very impressive game for the Trojans Saturday at the Swartz Creek Showcase. She drilled a step back 3, caught a pass full speed for a transition layup, forced turnovers with her long arms, and finished an impressive baseline drive by squaring her shoulders at the rim. Skotti blocked shots and rebounded the ball for Owosso, finishing the game with double digit scoring. Skotti made multiple 3’s and contributed mightily on both ends for the Trojans.
Reese Thayer
Reese Thayer
Reese Thayer (2024) made the plays Owosso needed to compete against a quality opponent Saturday. I counted 6 total deflections and a steal for Reese, she continually puts herself in a defensive position to make plays. Reese scored on a back cut, hit a wing 3, and made multiple finishes at the rim in traffic. Reese is a senior guard who played a great game for the Trojans.
Lexi Hemker
Lexi Hemker
Lexi Hemker (2024) had an impressive offensive performance for Owosso at the Swartz Creek Showcase Saturday. She drilled a jumper off of a screen from the top of the key and made multiple 3’s from the wings. Lexi is an efficient outside shooter for Owosso.
