WF West

The best post player in class 2A and one of the best in the state resides in Chehalis. [player_tooltip player_id='584642' first='Julie' last='Dalan'] is back as the reigning player of the year in the Evergreen 2A conference. She has help from several guards including two freshman in [player_tooltip player_id='751208' first='Dilyn' last='Boeck'] and [player_tooltip player_id='730365' first='Joy' last='Cushman']. [player_tooltip player_id='649125' first='Lena' last='Fragner'], [player_tooltip player_id='502371' first='Amanda' last='Bennett'], and Claire Deskins give the Bearcats plenty of experience in the backcourt.

Adna

Adna got a huge boost with [player_tooltip player_id='589901' first='Karsyn' last='Freeman'] transferring in from Raymond. She was one of the top-scoring guards in class 2B last season at over 21 points per game. She opened the season with a 30-point effort. [player_tooltip player_id='660352' first='Danika' last='Hallom'] is also a returning 1st team all league pick from last season in the Central 2B. Gabby Guard and Kendall Humphrey will play key roles as well. Adna should be one of the favorites along with Napavine and Rainier once again to win the league.

North Thurston

[player_tooltip player_id='388789' first='Soraya' last='Ogaldez'] is the best all-around player in either county. She is a lightning-quick guard who has exceptional ball skills. She can score from all levels and is a big-time recruit. [player_tooltip player_id='589902' first='Grace' last='Lee'] also returns in the backcourt as an athletic wing who can help in all aspects of the game.

Napavine

Led by sophomore phenom [player_tooltip player_id='584299' first='Hayden' last='Kaut'] and a host of returning players from last year's 6th place team at the 2B state tournament. [player_tooltip player_id='594125' first='Keira' last='O'neill'] provides an inside presence. Avery Schutz, Taylen Evander, Grace Gall, and Jessie McCoy all return in the backcourt. [player_tooltip player_id='813451' first='Dakota' last='Hamilton'] returns after sitting out all of last season with a knee injury. She is the sister of last year's Central 2B Co MVP Morgan Hamilton who is one of the only players gone to graduation. Napavine is stingy on defense and that alone keeps them in games. That included playing a really good Okanogan team tough in Spokane last season.

Olympia

Led by 1st team all-league and the defensive player of the year in the 4A South Puget Sound league last season [player_tooltip player_id='590246' first='Lauren' last='Wolin'] in the backcourt. Freshman [player_tooltip player_id='688517' first='Sawyer' last='Schaff'] should provide immediate help in all areas.

Tumwater

Led by senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='583787' first='Regan' last='Brewer'] who went for 36 points in the season opener. She is also one of the best on-ball defenders in the state. She might lead the state in steals, she is that type of ball hawk on defense. [player_tooltip player_id='663643' first='Rhylee' last='Beebe'] is also back in the backcourt with Brewer. Defense alone should keep them in any game this season.

Timberline

[player_tooltip player_id='579809' first='Shayla' last='Cordis'] puts Timberline in the discussion as one of the top players in the class of 2026. She is not only one of the best in her class but a top guard in the state with her ability to score the basketball. She is also a great defensive player who averaged around six steals a game last season. She broke the single-game scoring record in points several times as well, including in her first varsity game ever as a freshman.
