Ava missed her Sophomore year with an injury, but she returned this season and proved to be a vital piece of the Portage puzzle. She is quick, fast, and feisty, she has good length at her size, and she plays with a ton of energy. Offensively, she can knock down shots, and with range, as long as she gets her feet set and has rhythm. She can get gaps and put pressure on defenses as well, and she doesn’t mind contact at her size. Defensively, she can guard the ball or create steals from one pass away.

Ava is another prospect who could fly under the radar a little so to speak, because she missed the 2021-2022 season, and she is playing with an Illinois grassroots team. But she is extremely quick, fast, and shifty, and she is a playmaker at both ends of the floor. She can knock down shots, and with range, she can get through tight gaps in the defense, and she can be a pest defending the ball herself. If she can learn to change speeds a little more often and not always go 100 MPH, it would definitely help.
