Arguably at the top of the list in the area for most improved, Alexandra has really gotten off to a hot start for the season. She has become a real sniper from behind the three-point line, equally dangerous in catch and shoot or spot up situations. More impressively, she has become a mid-range killer. She is really knocking down short corner jumpers and face up shots in the mid-post area. Defensively she is anchoring St. Mary’s various zones and showing versatility on that end of the court. She’s also a solid rebounder. Mid major D1’s are noticing.
Highlights
Bree has turned in some really good performances with a couple of career high games so far this season. She has really shot the ball well from three-point range and is finishing much better at the rim. She is still providing excellent defense and rebounding from the guard position as well.
Myah transferred back to Sparrows Point for her senior year and has been balling out. The Virginia Tech recruit has put up multiple 30-point double-doubles and has looked dominant in the process. Her size, length and skill level have been too much for anyone in Baltimore County to handle.
London doesn’t have the same experience as a lot of players because she is new to the game, but her growth in just two years has been remarkable. She’s an athletic and powerful six-footer with excellent footwork, most likely due to her extensive soccer background. On the court she has improved her finishing skills around the basket and her IQ is improving. She’s very vocal on defense and sets the tone physically for her team. Lots of potential here.
Cameron is a big guard at around six feet and has the build to play on a college team right now. Her shooting and ball handling skills improve every time I see her. She’s versatile so she provides her team with good minutes as a wing defender and can rebound the ball. She’s on the radar of multiple D1 schools.
Mary is playing with a lot of confidence and decisiveness. She is now at Bishop McNamara and the tough lefty point guard is applying serious full court ball pressure and finishing much better at the rim.
