While staying warm and watching hockey at home, I broke down some film on five Kansas-ranked athletes who have not been featured lately on Prep Girls Hoops.

Four of them have committed to college programs after graduation and one is still uncommitted. All five are currently ranked in the Top 100 but range from No. 3 on down to No. 79.

[player_tooltip player_id='430812' first='Azailah' last='Funches'], 6'0”, CG, Shawnee Mission South, ‘24

Funches can run like a deer and score in transition. She moves well to both her left and right. The Raider senior is a plus ball-handler and has a big vertical. She is currently the No. 3 ranked athlete in the Class of 2024 and is committed to Oral Roberts.

[player_tooltip player_id='347855' first='Ella' last='Anderson'], 5'11”, PF, Olathe South, ‘24

Anderson is a physical athlete who understands how to create space in the paint. She has a nice mid-range jump shot and she can find open teammates with accurate passes. Anderson is currently ranked No. 33 in the Class of 2024 and has committed to play for Simpson College (IA).

[player_tooltip player_id='503313' first='Claira' last='Dannefer'], 6'0”, PF, Abilene, ‘24

Dannefer is ranked No. 50 in the Class of 2024. She has a long stride and is a big-time leaper. She can move to either side in the paint. The Abilene senior can go out and record a double-double each night and has committed to play for East Central University.

[player_tooltip player_id='398990' first='Keegan' last='Yarick'], 5'8”, SG, Fort Scott, ‘24

Yarick is a three-level scorer who has a solid film at her HUDL account. She likes to get out in transition and handles the ball well. She fights for rebounding position and like Dannefer is a solid bet to reach double-double figures when she steps onto the court. Yarick is currently ranked No. 60 in the Class of 2024 and has committed to play for the Butler Grizzlies.

[player_tooltip player_id='231415' first='Lauren' last='Marron'], 5'6”, PG, Piper, ‘24

Marron is a spunky point guard who can score from deep. She loves to set up at the wing and cash in on 3-point attempts. She has a smooth shot and if defenders fail to close in on her she makes them pay. Marron handles the ball well and is currently ranked No. 79 in the Class of 2024. The Piper senior is currently uncommitted.
