Hobbs is a physical team that likes to push the tempo. The Eagles do a phenomenal job of forcing their opposition to play at their pace and have a gift for creating transition and fast break opportunities, by turning defense into offense –The Eagles continuously jump passing lanes, deny swing-passes, hedge screens, and play tenacious help-side defense. Hobbs is an exceptional rebounding team with both forwards and guards who crash the glass. The Eagles are always looking for early-offense with leak-outs as they have multiple players SPRINT the floor, putting stress on opposing guards to get back and not be beat by the throw ahead pass.

Leading the way was forward Kyndle Cunningham Kyndle Cunningham 6'0" | PF Hobbs | 2025 State NM who averaged 13.3 ppg for Hobbs. Cunningham was fantastic protecting the paint with her length and toughness. Kyndle is a great help-side defender and rebounder who is relentless on the glass, giving multiple efforts on both ends of the floor. Bhret Clay Bhret Clay 5'9" | SG Hobbs | 2025 State NM averaged 12.6 ppg for the Eagles, relentlessly attacking the basket all tournament long. The explosive Clay, has the freedom and confidence to take the ball coast-2-coast and has a knack for getting to the charity stripe — the junior is crafty at initiating contact and shielding the defender from altering her shot. Wing player Nakia Mojica Nakia Mojica 5'6" | CG Hobbs | 2025 State NM who averaged 12 ppg for the tournament was solid in DHO situations. Mojica was able to score both off the dribble, and space the floor with her 3-point shot. Brynn Hargrove Brynn Hargrove 5'6" | PG Hobbs | 2025 State NM was deadly with her outside shot. Posting a cool 13 ppg, the junior guard was making 3s off the bounce utilizing a smooth step-back. An underrated aspect of Hargrove’s game is the willingness to make the extra pass, passing up a good shot for a great shot. Providing production off the bench was Aliana Armitage Aliana Armitage SG Hobbs | 2026 State NM who also averaged 13.3 ppg. Armitage gives the Eagles a change of pace at the guard position, possessing a terrific motor. Aliana is an outstanding on-ball defender and a fierce competitor. The sophomore also does a good job of keeping her head up while in the open-court.

Physical guard that is tough to stop once downhill. Excellent finisher at the rim, welcomes contact and can finish in traffic. Ruiz has great instincts on defense, the junior anticipates well, forcing steals and creating deflections.

18 points vs Mayfield in the ‘LCPS: Holiday Hoopla’
Reliable double-figure scorer who can put the ball on the floor, shoot the 3ball, and cash in from the foul-line. Montoya is effective both on-ball and off-ball – with the ability to draw a second defender.

15 points vs Piedra Vista & 22 points vs Ironwood Ridge (AZ) in the ‘Hobbs Holiday Tournament’
Can hurt opposing teams from the perimeter with her 3-point shot. Gonzales has been good in catch & shoot situations, having little to no hesitation rising up.

The Adams State signee, continues to show an expanded offensive repertoire. Handling the rock well beyond the paint area and shooting from distance. Hill now takes the midrange jumper with confidence, understanding that opposing defenses are packing the paint, limiting potential drives and or post-up attempts.

Versatile two-way player with an excellent motor, good length and speed, that can play/defend multiple positions. Not to mention, a solid rebounder, shot-blocker and lockdown wing defender.
So far this season, MacAuley is averaging 16.5 ppg 8.7 rpg 2.3 spg 2.2 bpg for the 6-4 Panthers
