Carnegie was in complete control, erupting for 13 quick points to spring the Rams ahead 21-15 after eight minutes. Dani would finish with 21 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. She hit a pair of threes to mix in with three putbacks and a handful of hard takes to the rim where she converted through contact. 2024’s top guard leads arguably Georgia’s top program.
Off to a blistering start her senior season, Nya Smith Nya Smith 5’10” | SG Milton | 2024 State GA paced Milton with 23 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 6 steals and 3 blocks en route to the Eagles capturing the Ditlihi Division Championship over Wren, SC 52-40. The App State-signee used her blinding speed to jump into passing lanes and convert defense into offense as Milton collected 22 steals. Smith is dynamic on both ends of the floor. An elite speed merchant, Smith is more than just a burner 94-feet. Nya’s three-point shot torches the defense on a nightly basis. She sank five deep balls to stretch out Wren. The big guard has all the tools to succeed at the next level.
Climbing up college recruiting boards, Londyn Walker Londyn Walker 5’8″ | CG Milton | 2025 State GA continued to raise her stock in Milton’s commanding win over Wren, up double digits nearly the entire game. Londyn posted 15 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals. Walker plays with great strength and balance. While she can score points in bunches, Londyn has thrived at point guard as a drive and dish facilitator. She bursts through the seams of the defense and puts constant pressure on opponents with her ability to penetrate. She scored from all levels against Wren, hitting a three, three mid-range pull-ups, a putback and two And-1 drives.
Suttle ignited a comeback that ultimately fell short, Campbell losing to South Pointe, SC 58-47 in the Adalvquodi Division Championship. Brooke used her size and soft touch to pile in points. The Penn-signee knocked down a pair of threes, hit two mid-range jumpers and sank a floater on her way to finishing with 15 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 1 block after missing time in the first quarter due to a bloody nose/mouth.
Marlie has taken a significant jump from her sophomore season to her junior campaign, improving across the board in every category going from 5.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, 4 assists and 1.8 steals per game to 10 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.4 steals. Against South Pointe, Battle did her damage as a playmaker, keenly aware of where her teammates were on the floor at all times. Marlie dropped in three floaters and went 3-4 from the line to record 9 points, 2 rebounds, 8 assists and 3 steals.
The Presbyterian-signee drained four threes as Rabun County shook off a sluggish first quarter to capture third place in the Ditlihi Division, topping Scottsboro, AL 50-40. Aside from her sharpshooting, Ellie showcased her trademark toughness underneath the basket, battling for rebounds and scrapping for steals. Southards finished with 17 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 5 steals and 1 block.
Down 20-11 after one and 28-22 at the half, Western Carolina-signee Lucy Hood Lucy Hood 5’9″ | PG Rabun County | 2024 State GA turned it on after scoring just three points over the opening 16 minutes, finishing with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists including a 10-point third quarter, a stanza in which the LadyCats roared ahead of Scottsboro 43-35 outscoring the Wildcats 21-7. Lucy found her shot, hitting three three-pointers and a pair of mid-range pull-ups while slicing up the defense with her passing.
