About Nya
Expert Analysis
Andrew Rogers | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Nyla is a very quick and agile guard. Impressively she is fast on her feet while staying under control when driving to the rim to finish or draw contact and end up at the free throw line. She has a good balance of outside shooting and downhill drives. Nyla is also very active on the glass for a guard as she leads the team in rebounding. She is a true stat sheet stuffer doing everything her team needs to win.

paced Milton with 23 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 6 steals and 3 blocks en route to the Eagles capturing the Ditlihi Division Championship over Wren, SC 52-40. The App State-signee used her blinding speed to jump into passing lanes and convert defense into offense as Milton collected 22 steals. Smith is dynamic on both ends of the floor. An elite speed merchant, Smith is more than just a burner 94-feet. Nya’s three-point shot torches the defense on a nightly basis. She sank five deep balls to stretch out Wren. The big guard has all the tools to succeed at the next level.

Up from No. 24: Big guard with a smooth game. Pretty jumper with three-point range. Shoots well off the catch but can also create with pull-ups. Has good footwork attacking the hoop. D-I schools have jumped back in with offers after missing her junior season with an ACL tear.
