We’ve already touched on new names and sensational seniors. It’s time to look into the jaw-dropping juniors.
Breonna Roaf was playing some stellar defense keeping her opponent in front of her and hustling back to knock the ball away stopping fast breaks from happening. Working well in the back of the press, she was constantly talking to her teammates reporting to them what they needed to know. She’s persistent getting inside for offensive rebounds and going to work for her points. Her stroke was on point from deep making her defender wish she had played closer instead of protecting the drive.
Halisi Whitley came out strong knocking down a few from the around the arc to start the game. Breaking news!? Not in the least as she does this all the time, and she finished the game with four three pointers. She even had a nice steal cutting into the passing lane grabbing the possession.
Miyah Campbell knocked down a couple of threes to start the game knowing how to move without the ball to find the open look. She was tough defending the ball and stripping it away from her opponents to protect the basket. She finds open lanes to get to the rim.
Icyss Storm was strong on the block scoring through contact and finishing from the free throw line. It seemed like three point plays were on repeat for her throughout the game. She knows how to create her own openings flashing in and out of the paint shifting the defense and going to work off the pass. She was tough on the boards grabbing rebounds on both ends.
Highlights
Sanai Cole is so shifty with the ball getting to the paint using spin moves to create some space. She was making moves pulling up for the jumper not backing down from contact. She’s so persistent and keeps the ball moving as she relocates even when she isn’t handling the rock.
