Bhret Clay Bhret Clay 5'9" | SG Hobbs | 2025 State NM | Hobbs
22 pts vs West Mesa & 16 pts vs La Cueva
It was a good week for the class of 2025 no. 1 ranked SG who was steady on both ends of the floor — Clay knows how to get to her spots in the halfcourt with good footwork and takes advantage of crossmatches and mismatches. On defense, Clay’s pressure defense leads to easy buckets in the form of fast break layups as she forces opposing players to make frequent mistakes handling the ball.
Bella Hines Bella Hines 5'10" | CG Eldorado | 2025 State NM | Eldorado
29 pts & 9 reb vs La Cueva
With how frequently Hines puts up 25 or more points, it seems to be almost expected as this point. The no. 1 ranked player in the class of 2025 has been phenomenal scoring at all three-levels for the Eldorado Eagles this season. Bella is an elite shot creator and maker who can seriously make jaw dropping plays out on the perimeter, in the mid-range and at the rim.
Jadyn Montoya Jadyn Montoya SG Valencia | 2025 State NM & Jaiden Montgomery Jaiden Montgomery SF Valencia | 2026 State NM | Valencia
Montoya: 33 pts & Montgomery: 16 pts vs Bernalillo
Montoya, one of the top backcourt players in 4A, was definitely in a rhythm vs the Bernalillo Spartans; The 2025 guard was scoring at will in the paint and out on the perimeter. As for Montgomery, the forward was fantastic on both ends of the floor, especially from an effort standpoint. Montgomery does a great job creating 2nd chance opportunities and makes a diligent effort to contest every shot on defense.
Trinity Calabaza Trinity Calabaza PF Bernalillo | 2027 State NM & Leah Valdez Leah Valdez SG Bernalillo | 2024 State NM | Bernalillo
Calabaza: 21 pts & Valdez: 18 pts vs Valencia
Despite coming up short vs Valencia, the duo of Calabaza and Valdez went down swinging. The physical Calabaza was going to work down in the lane and on the glass while the crafty Valdez was effective off the dribble, getting to the foul-line after creating contact on the drive.
Eva Love Eva Love 5'9" | SG La Cueva | 2024 State NM & Jordyn Dyer Jordyn Dyer PF La cueva | 2026 State NM | La Cueva
Love: 25 pts & Dyer: 19 pts
Eva, the no. 1 ranked player in the class of 2024, played like a true D1 prospect vs Hobbs. Love displayed a well-rounded game on the offensive end, scoring at all three-levels, but was especially spectacular when operating in the midrange. As for Dyer, she is a dynamic forward who serves as a top-notch second option that can take over for stretches in a game.
Taejhuan ‘TT’ Hill | Volcano Vista
20 pts vs Sandia
Drastically standing out is the improved handle and mid-range shot from ‘TT’ Hill. The senior forward has been very effective facing up, and using a one dribble pull-up jumper, primarily from the elbows and foul-line area. The Adams State signee has been tremendous thus far for Volcano, leading them in scoring and rebounding.
Sydney Benally Sydney Benally 5'9" | PG Sandia | 2025 State NM | Sandia
19 pts vs Volcano Vista
Game after game, the top PG in the class of 2025 continues to evolve her game. Benally known for her magic on the offensive end, is an underrated defender despite a thin frame. Benally understands how to position herself and make the right play — Sydney is willing to sacrifice her body and take a charge vs bigger frontcourt players who have a size advantage.
